Chapter Eleven

Raine POV

My body feels like it's flying, pleasure continues to burn through it, and it's nothing like I've ever felt. I'm currently in Brax's arms, and I feel safe, I don't know why, but I do.

I know this is wrong, I know that feeling safe with a vampire wolf hybrid isn't wise, but how can I not? He's my mate. A mate I know I shouldn't have. I've never heard of witches having a mates, or witch hybrids.

His fingers stroke along my spine and I find myself relaxing into him more. I don't want to move, I don't want to go home. I know that I can't stay here, I know for sure my dad and brothers will hunt for me.

"I'll figure this out, I promise." He kisses my head and sighs. "Go through with the marriage, and I'll try rush through them making me alpha. The moment I take the title, I'll come get you."

He makes that sound so easy. "My father won't let you just come for me."

"Your father can't stop me. You're my mate, do you think I'll let anyone stop me?"

"And your pack?"

"Right now with my father still in charge it's a risk if I bring you back. Not only because you're not a vampire hybrid but because you're a witch and if anyone elses finds out."

I nod. "Yeah, I know."

"I wouldn't stand by while they hurt you, but you're safe married to Kai until I'm Alpha."

Nodding, I don't reply. I know he's right, the safest place for me right now is with my parents or Kai. My parents won't keep me there, hence my dads marrying me off to Kai.

"When will I next see you?"

"I'll call by the shop."

"You can't, my father has made my brothers aware whenever I'm there they need to be. When you come in the morning they are going to be the ones telling you to stay away."

"Tomorrow, walk past here. I'll pull you through like today, same time?" He looks at me and I nod. "Then tomorrow we arrange the next time."

It seems like the best way to do it. Take it day by day.

"We should move," he whispers.

Sighing, I nod, even though I really don't want to. We begin to move and get dressed. I'd rather stay here. Pretend like this is my life now.

He guides me down and out of the hotel. Standing by the doors he pulls me to him and kisses me again. "I'll see you later," he whispers, then he's gone, weaving through the crowd like he was never here to begin with.

Sighing, I begin to walk to the shop. By the time I get there, my brothers are sat waiting.

"Where's the stuff you bought?" Axel looks at me.

"They didn't have it in stock." I shrug and grab the papers for the appointment. "This is a woman, you can't be in the room."

"No need to be, she's already came in, we know she's human. The engagement party is moved to tomorrow." Vane explains and I nod.

Walking through, I introduce myself to the woman and begin the tattoo. She talks to me, and I welcome it. Hearing about her life, about her freedom gives me hope that one day I'll get that freedom.

One day, I'll be able to do what I want, with the freedom I want.

When I finish the tattoo she thanks me and leaves, and I spend the next few hours lost in it. This is my escape, I don't have a physical escape, so I use this.

I watch the man leave, and then pack up. Walking out, I stop when I see Brax stepping through the door. His eyes meet mine, and I bite my lip to stop the smile. Why is he here already? He's meant to come tomorrow morning.

Vane steps in front of me and faces him. "You're not welcome here."

Brax chuckles. "Oh, and you're going to stop me?" His head tilts and he looks amused.

Vane says nothing, none of them do, because they know taking on a vampire hybrid is a risk, but Brax? The future alpha...yeah, he's not going to be easy to take down.

"As I thought, you can't stop me, so move aside, she's doing my tattoo."

"We can't stop you, but I can make sure she never comes back here and she loses the only freedom she has," Kai snarls, and steps closer to him.

Brax looks from him to me. "I guess I should go then, I don't want to be the one you blame when you destroy her life." He walks out and gets in the car and it goes.

Sighing I turn and begin to wash the kits. I'm not ready to go home yet.

"We're still going to be here for any appointments you have," Vane says and I nod.

"Sure, makes sense."

Axel walks over to me. "What are you doing?"

"It's the end of the month, I need to wash all equipment again, even unused stuff, and the surfaces, everything." I don't, I already did that.

"We'll stay for a bit, make sure he doesn't come back." Vane sits and I nod, not saying anything.

Half an hour later they leave. I watch the car disappear, and I sit down, closing my eyes. I've got a few weeks before this wedding happens, it gives me a few weeks to figure out my plan to stop Kai claiming me.

"Little Nightbloom."

I spin around and Brax is leaning against the wall.

"How..."

"How did I get in?" He winks and steps closer. "The window at the back is open."

Of course he climbed in. He steps closer, his arms wrapping around me. I settle against him, trying to just breathe. "You're thinking that we won't get to see each other, believe me, I'll make sure that we do."

I nod and step back. "Let's get this tattoo done."

Locking the doors, I guide him through to the room. Pointing to the chair I wait. He smirks and moves, lying on the bench instead. "You're going to do it like you had every other time. Up here, sat on me."

I don't argue, I get the things set up, and then climb onto him. My thighs straddle him, and I get the stencil on. He watches me like he's mesmerised.
