A Past Revealed

Author: Stella YX
(Sarah's POV)

"Tell me about her and Derek." Alexander's voice was low, quieter than I’d heard it in years. His sharp, golden eyes locked on me.

I hesitated, unsure of how much to say. The tension in the car felt like a physical weight pressing down on me. He looked fragile in a way I’d never thought possible—not in his body, but in whatever was left of his spirit. The proud, powerful Alpha heir I once knew was breaking apart, little by little.

He waited silently, and I could feel his wolf stirring within him. It wasn’t raging—it was waiting, just like he was. Waiting for me to shred what little hope he might have left.

"It’s not what you think," I said finally, keeping my voice steady. The truth, however harsh, had to come out now. "Their relationship... started in a way you won’t like."

His eyebrows twitched, nerves already fraying. "What do you mean?"

I exhaled, the words bitter on my tongue. "It wasn’t love."

He flinched slightly, his lips parting as though he wanted to resp

(Aria's POV)Jason’s reaction was almost instant. He turned sharply toward me, his heavy footsteps halting mid-step as if he’d been caught unprepared. The expression that immediately crossed his face was a mix of surprise and mild panic.“Aria?” he called out, trying to sound casual, but his voice wavered slightly. His brown eyes blinked rapidly as if confirming it was really me standing there.I tilted my head slightly, keeping my posture neutral but letting my eyes focus intently on his face. "Jason," I replied calmly. "What are you doing here?" I didn’t betray the suspicion building in my chest. Not yet.“What brings you here?” he stammered, ignoring my question entirely. He tried to recover quickly, forcing a grin that didn’t quite meet his eyes. “You’re not usually around this part of the medical center.”I crossed my arms, raising an eyebrow as if to challenge his attempt to deflect. “Funny. I was just about to ask you the same thing. I thought you were supposed to be in Bro

(Aria's POV)The Windsor Pack administration office buzzed lightly with its usual morning activity, but my focus remained on the papers spread across the desk in front of me. Beside me, Emma Pierce eagerly listened as I explained the details of her new responsibilities."These are the finalized territory agreements," I said, sliding a thick folder toward her. "You’ll need to review them monthly. Make sure any updates that the pack council approves are documented immediately."Emma nodded quickly, her enthusiasm almost infectious. "Got it, Miss Aria! I won’t let any deadlines slip through."Her bright energy reminded me of how I had been when I first started in this office. Back when I believed this place might someday feel like home. Now, it only felt like a suffocating cage I was finally escaping.I took a deep breath and opened another folder. "These are the pack alliance documents. Each one outlines specific terms for maintaining relationships with nearby packs. Any breaches or

(Aria's POV)The message came softly through the remnants of our old pack bond as I laced up my shoes, my movements slow and deliberate. "I'm returning to my territory. I won't trouble you again. Take care.” Those words—simple, direct—hit me like a heavy stone, sinking directly into the depths of my heart.Alex's voice, the warmth of his presence in those few words, was both comforting and heart-wrenching.He was leaving. Truly.I stared at the message, my chest tightening as I read it again and again, as though trying to memorize every syllable. He was honoring the finality of my decision, as he always did. My gentle Alex, who never wanted to burden me, was stepping aside once more.Tears pricked at the corners of my violet eyes, blurring the screen.I rapidly blinked them away.Crying now wouldn’t change anything.I thought about responding. Maybe a thank you. Maybe a wish for his happiness in return. But none of it felt right. None of it felt true. After causing him pain

(Third Person's POV)Derek stood silently by the expansive floor-to-ceiling window of his private estate, a glass of wine resting in his steady hand. The color was deep crimson, but the bitter aroma of wolfsbane infused within wafted faintly in the air. His silver-blonde hair gleamed faintly under the dying glow of the evening sun as it streamed through the glass.Outside, a storm brewed on the horizon. Clouds hung heavy, mirroring the tension crackling faintly beneath his unrelenting control. The room was pristine and orderly. Every corner was reflective of Derek’s aura—controlled, detached, and unyielding. But the glass in his hand told another story.Dr. Marcus Reed stepped into the study, his presence discreet as always. He carried a neatly folded black formal pack robe over his arm. A tense air seemed to trail in with him as though the garments themselves bore a heavier weight.“Alpha Silverstone,” Dr. Reed began, his tone carefully neutral. But the moment Derek’s ice-blue ey

  • The Alpha King Begged His Omega to Come Back   A Friend's Burden

(Aria's POV)I sat on the edge of the couch, fingers nervously tapping against my thigh. Sarah's voice carried through the kitchen as she stirred the pot of healing broth she insisted I should have. My mind was elsewhere, spinning with worry."Aria, you’re doing that thing again," she said over her shoulder, glancing at me with a soft smile."What thing?" I asked, forcing myself to still my hand."The overthinking thing." She turned back to the stove, adjusting the flame. "You’ve been through enough already. Just let me handle my own mess, alright?"My stomach clenched at her words. Handle it? Sarah had always been strong, but this time, I wasn’t so sure. "You call it a mess, but it’s serious, Sarah. Taking on extra shifts?"She waved me off, her back still to me. "I’ve done it before. It’s no big deal.""No big deal?" I stood, walking closer to her. "You nearly made yourself sick last time. Your health—""Aria." She stopped stirring and turned to face me. The warm glow of the
