Chapter 79

It took Maika more than an hour to open the over hundred doors that were in the cavern.

With the key now in her possession, Maika knew that the whole truth was hers to find out. She desperately needed to know what her mother was talking about.

As she walked towards the last door at the end of the hallway, her heart pounded in her chest. Could she trust her mother? What if it was a trap?

Maika got to the door and stared at it for a while. The handle was old, rusted and dusty and she knew at once that it had been there for a long while.

She tried the key on the lock and after a few turns, the door clicked open.

Maika walked in cautiously and as soon as she was in, the door shut close with a bang. She spun around, surprised and tried to open it but it was stuck. She was trapped inside.

“Very stupid of me to trust you,” She muttered to herself.

She chanted a spell and a spark emerged from her fingers, slowly turning to a small fire. Thankfully, the room was not magic proof like the one in
