"Vivian?" The deep voice brought Hazel out of her thoughts. She raised her head, staring at the two men in front of her. She had no idea who the man that called out to Vivian was but she knew the man standing beside him too well.

Karl couldn't hide the shocked expression on his face. He ran over to Vivian and checked her pulse. She was still breathing but her breathing was a bit shallow and that made him scared. Immediately, he shifted into a silver werewolf, placed Vivian on his back, nodded at Theo and trotted over the knoll.

Hazel stood up immediately, her eyes on Theo that was staring back at her. He wasn't a stranger to her, she had met him countless times for her to know that he was Alpha Styx's Beta. That was the only reason she allowed Karl to get closer to Vivian in the first place. Because she knew he wasn't there to hurt her but to save her instead.
