"Vivian?" Hazel called, her brows furrowed in confusion. She stood in the darkness for a while and took a step forward towards Vivian.Sacred, Vivian unconsciously held her breath. Cold shivers run down her spine and she could hear the loud beating of her heart against her ribcage. She was scared and she was so close to losing her mind."Are you okay?" Hazel asked, worried. She could feel the tense atmosphere and also...her eyes. She looked scared and something about that speaks volumes.Vivian released her breath and with a smile on her face; "I think I lost Grey and I've been trying to look for it" she lied, hoping that was enough to make Hazel believe her. When she heard Hazel call her earlier, she was afraid that she had seen everything and that had scared her. She still has so many things to do and also...before she can finally leave she needs to repay Vivian. "Oh, I'm sure....your hand!" She yelled, holding Vivian's hand. She frowned, noticing the blood dripping down her hand.
"Please stop!" She pleaded, hoping he would listen to her. "I love you, Ama""Steve...please!""I love you...""Vivian?!" A deep yet familiar voice called snapping Vivian back to reality. She slowly opened her eyes, trying to adjust her eyes to the sudden brightness."Are you okay?" She turned to face the person beside her and she wouldn't lie she was shocked."Styx?" She muttered silently but loud for Styx to hear. She hasn't seen him for a long time and is seeing him now... She felt like it was all a dream."Are you okay, Vivian?" He asked, placing his hand on her forehead. Her body temperature had returned to normal and that was enough to satisfy him. He was scared that something happened to her and he couldn't help but be worried that maybe he had lost her."I'm..." The word she was about to say got caught up in her throat. She wanted to tell him she was fine but then she knows too well she isn't. Having him beside her once again with eyes that were filled with worry and not hatr
Evening came much earlier than expected and Vivian was lying still on her bed, staring at the ceiling. Her body was in pain and she was trying so hard not to cry and she was doing a great job at that. She couldn't help but count the number of squares she could see and soon enough she was lost in her silly game. She thought it would be enough to keep her from thinking about anything or it was more like that was what she wanted to believe. She wanted to believe it was enough to keep her away from her thoughts, her struggles and her pain but it didn't. She was again drawn back to her thoughts and at that moment, she was trapped in it.Tears fell from her eyes and soon enough her past was catching up to her. A past she was trying so hard to get rid of but had become her shadow. A shadow that wouldn't let her go and was always following her. She removed her eyes from the ceiling, turning her head to the side and looking out the balcony. The moon looked beautiful at that very moment, addin
"Ama?!" Carina called, her eyes on Ama that was crying out in pain. She stood not too far away from her, staring at the girl that was once her best friend and her sister.Vivian raised her head, staring right into Carina's eyes. An eyes that she was so afraid to look into because she was scared of seeing her hatred for her in her eyes but instead... There was something different about Carina's eyes, her eyes were filled with emotions that were extremely difficult for her to understand. "It's really you, Ama," she said almost in a whisper. She was indeed in a different body and the face she was looking at right now doesn't belong to Ama but still...she was able to recognize her. She was able to feel the connection between them, a connection that was created by Ama herself."Carina," she called out softly in pain. A name she didn't have the chance to call for years now. The only reason she had grown close to Hazel was because she reminded her of Carina. Just like Hazel, Carina was some
Hazel stood under the moonlight, lost. Her eyes were cold and distant and deep inside she felt broken. Her eyes were welled up with tears and those tears were close to falling but she was doing a good job in holding it in. Less than four days left, four days and she still couldn't find a cure for Vivian. Time was no longer on her side and she knew that but there was nothing she could do. She had so many questions she needed answers to. She was sure that Vivian's father is a human and as for Vivian, she doesn't have any signs of being a mermaid. So how can she have the blood of a mermaid flowing in her body, how could she be a mermaid when she doesn't have any powers or act like one. She has to find Vivian's biological mother because she knows too well that she's the only one that could give her answers but she doesn't know where to find her. She has no idea who she is and she knows too well Vivian also doesn't have an idea. She brushed her fingers through her hair, frustrated and
In a cave, faraway from Gael. Styx walked around the cave with no idea of where he was heading to or who he was meeting. He walked through the silent cave with a cold expression on his face. The cave was dark but because of his vision, he was able to find his way through the cave."Alpha Styx," A familiar voice called."Karl," Styx responded, staring back at Karl who had a confused expression on his face."You are here," Karl said but sounded more like a question. Styx had sent him here after he confronted him that evening to search for a cure for Vivian's illness. He had been here for three days now with no idea of where he's heading. He was lost and he was trying to find his way but he still ends up coming back to the same place he was. But seeing Alpha Styx here was something he wouldn't have expected. "Hmm" he hummed in response, not bothering to explain his reason for being there. Seeing Vivian in the state she was earlier, he couldn't help but be scared. He felt like he was wa
Ophelia and Zara stood in front of the gigantic palace gate. It took a while but they finally reached Gael and Zara couldn't hide the smile on her face. She knows too well that there was nothing she could do to save her daughter. It was too late and that was a truth that hurt and was slowly killing her. She was only here because she wanted to see her daughter even if it would only be for just once. She wanted to ask her for forgiveness and say how sorry she is for leaving her years back. She was scared of losing her back then and her fear came through cause she did lose her daughter."We are finally here, Zara," Ophelia cooed. She sacrificed a lot for her to be here and she didn't regret coming here with Zara. In the end, her daughter's life was also connected to all this.Years back, when Zara had given birth to Vivian. They had made a life-death connection between their two daughters. Something their parents had also doke for them to keep their friendship strong, a connection that c
"Vivian!" Hazel called, rushing into Vivian's room. She could feel her heart beating loudly against her ribcage and she could feel her fear slowly take control of her mind. She stood in the middle of Vivian's room, staring at the empty room with a confused expression on her face. She could have sworn she left Vivian in her room and watched her go to sleep. So where was she now? Where the hell was she?! "She isn't here," Ophelia muttered softly, scared. She felt like something was going to take place soon but what that was, was something she had no idea of. "I..." "What's going on?" Vivian asked in a weak voice, staring at the people in her room. Her eyes lingered on both Ophelia and Zara for a while, she had been waiting for them and they finally arrived. "Vivian!" Hazel yelled happily, running towards Vivian and pulling her into a hug. For a second there she was scared. She was scared that she had lost Vivian. For a second there, she felt like she had lost a part of her. She
