Chapter 43

Vivian stood on the balcony, looking down. The ball was still ongoing and that was pissing her off. Thanks to the ball and Sophia, all her plans for the evening have been completely ruined. She only had a few days left and those were not enough for her, she needed more time but time wasn't exactly on her side.

She let out a sigh, biting her lips. She walked into her room, picked up her kitten in her arms, caressing its fur. For a long time now, she has been having this strange feeling. She felt like something was coming for her but she had no idea what exactly.

She walked towards the mirror, checking out her reflection. Her eyes dimmed, staring back at the woman in the mirror. The corner of her lips slightly twitched as if she was unsatisfied with what she saw, walking away from the mirror.

Frustrated and tired, she walked out of her room walking through the silent corridor. She saw the painting from afar, surprised, she headed towards the painting.
