Dominic ran his hand through his hair, he couldn’t believe they were having this conversation, just a few days ago they had rescued a woman, and now, they were about to lose their whole fucking position because of the same woman.

They had to be something they… something he could do. Elder Ming was influential and he was heavily favoured by the fucking high chief.

“Why do you look like you are about to fucking lose your mind?” Emma joked, walking closer to him with an amused look on her face.

Dominic sighed, “If I don’t lose my mind by sundown then I guess that I am lucky,” he grumbled.

Emma chuckled, typical Dominic, always speaking in damn parables. “What is going on?”

Dominic stared at her as if he was contemplating telling her what the situation was, but this was Emma, their friend and if he needed to talk about Kyren, she was the best bet.
