Chapter 28: The Alpha Has A Son
~Alric~
Alric did not have to wait for the accused to be presented. As soon as he directed all his senses to the pertaining entrance, he breathed in acutely, catching a whiff of the scent that was terribly dear to him.
The scent of his own bloodline and that of jasmine, one that he had longed for several days, lingered nearby. It permeated into his nostrils, and then he knew. He instantly knew who his uncle was referring to. But why were Alana and Kai in the Port of Valmore? Clearly, somebody wanted to die in his hands.
He growled!
His eyes flared into a brighter gold, and his arms spread open, his claws lengthened and pointed. His fangs came about and his body was prepared to shift.
Tension built around the ring, seeing their Alpha became lethal. Behind Alric, his Beta and his Gammas were crooning in anger, their eyes equally menacing at the sight of the condition Alana and Kai were in.

~Alana~ “Water! Hurry and bring more water!” From a distance, Alana could hear a woman, demanding more bottles of water. “Yes, mother of all.” “Dean, what’s taking that water so long? ~Alric~ Alric was used to waking up early in the morning at five. It was his habit to run through the plains and even through the pine forest as part of his exercise. When he awoke, he found Kai staring at him. His boy was lying on his side, just watching him. “Kai? How long have you been up?” Alric asked. He groaned as he sat up, his back leaning on the headboard as he instinctively disheveled Kai’s hair. “Not long, daddy,” Kai answered. Alric noticed his son was silent.
