Alana~
‘Here he goes again,’ Alana thought. Alric was sniffing her madly. He was especially breathing against her neck that it sent butterflies to her stomach.
“I’m glad you and Kai are safe. I don’t know what I would have done if anything had happened to you,” he said while his arms secured her tightly.
Alana was trying her very best to control her wild heart. She was taking deep breaths while she remained silent in Alric’s lap. Eventually, Alric’s large hand crawled to the back of her neck. He urged her to look at him and he demanded, “Fucking kiss me, Alana… or I’ll throw a fit.”
“Well.” She gulped and said, “Since you put it that way, I guess I don’t have a choice.”
She saw how the corner of his lips curled up. He leaned forward, closing the gap between them, and in no time, their lips met.
“Mmmm,” she moaned into his mouth as Alric forced her lips open with his tongue.
The way he kissed her wi
Thank you for reading. The next chapter is tomorrow. I hope you are loving the flow. It won't be long now and we will learn more about Alana.
~Alric~ Alric was used to waking up early in the morning at five. It was his habit to run through the plains and even through the pine forest as part of his exercise. When he awoke, he found Kai staring at him. His boy was lying on his side, just watching him. “Kai? How long have you been up?” Alric asked. He groaned as he sat up, his back leaning on the headboard as he instinctively disheveled Kai’s hair. “Not long, daddy,” Kai answered. Alric noticed his son was silent. When Kai sat up, he glanced at his sleeping mother before his gaze fell on his father. He lazily asked, “Daddy? What am I?” To say that he was taken aback was an understatement. He and Alana agreed, this was a talk he would have to make with their son, but he did not expect that to happen right the very next day. Clearing his throat, Alric removed the blanket over his legs. He got up and offered his hand to Kai. “Let me show you, son.”
~Alana~ “Alric?” Alana softly said, walking with Kai down the stairs. “What do you mean Akisha is dead? How is that possible, Drake?” Alana could hear Alric’s voice clearly from where they were, but the man was nowhere to be found. Nor was there a sight of Drake. After arriving at the foot of the stairs, she followed the voice, which led to another hallway. The closer she got, the clearer their exchange became. “It was like they knew we were coming, Alpha Alric. Whoever was responsible for this clearly did not want Akisha to speak,” she heard another man say, whom she believed was Drake. “It has to be your uncle, Alric,” she heard Dean's voice. “Mommy? You can hear them too?” Alana glanced down at Kai and she acknowledged. “Alric?” She called, her voice a notch higher. It did not take long for her to hear the doors toward the end of the hallway open, and Alric stepped out, alrea
~Alana~ She watched as Valencia braced herself. For a second, the witch took a deep breath before finally speaking, "I think it's a... seal." While Alana noticed Alric and Dean contemplate, she was completely bemused. "A seal?" “It is clear to us, Alana, that you are a werewolf and this is the most logical explanation, seeing the mark on your back and that of Kai,” Valencia justified, her eyes drifting to Alric briefly, seemingly evaluating his reaction. Alana shook her head boldly, and she clarified, “I’m sorry, I am not understanding. A seal?” “It means your wolf is sealed in you and since Kai has one too, I can only assume the mark will serve the same way on him when he is expected to shift,” Valencia expressed. Shivers ran down her spine, and she noticed how Kai gasped at the news. She pondered silently, ‘Sealed? By who and how? Why?’ Recalling how Valencia suggested her memories may be tampered with, she
~Alric~ “I did not taste or sense the wolfsbane on the lasagna, given by Alana's neighbor. His name was Aiden, Alpha Alric,” Max said and with a look of regret, he turned to Alana, reporting, “I’m sorry, Alana, but your friend did not make it.” “Whoever took you, made sure that Aiden paid the price trying to stop them from taking you.” Max swallowed air down his throat before narrating, “When he realized that those who gave him the wolfsbane potion were after Alana and Kai, he fought back.” Shaking his head, he added, “Poor guy had no chance.” “I’m really sorry, Alana. I was too weak because of the wolfsbane in my system. All I could do was watch as they tied me down.” He sighed and resumed, “They even had raw wolfsbane tied around me.” "I could not even see their faces because they had bonnets on, but I am sure they were werewolves," Max included. Everyone was inside Alric’s study. Dean, Alana, Max, Rex, Ace, and Drake. They wer
~Alana~ It was an arduous walk to the Grand Arena of Port of Valmore. Alana could feel eyes burning through her frame. It has been days since she and Kai were untimely brought to Alric’s place of birth, and even while she and Kai hid at the Valmore mansion, she occasionally met that look of disdain. Alana understood it was because Alric planned on making her his Luna. This was clearly explained to her by Elenor after three days of being educated by her. Yep, she learned about the practices in their pack, including the ranks. She finally understood why they referred to Alric as their Alpha. Dean was Alric’s Betta and Max, Ace, Rex, and Drake were his high-ranking Gammas. There were others, but the latter were the ones who often escorted Alric. Pack warriors were different too and the lowest among the ranks were the Omegas, the minimum working class. Noticing how it was very rowdy throughout the ring, Alana compelled her
~Author’s Narration~ South to the Port of Valmore, hidden by rows of mountains and intermittent thick mists, a region that held previous glory and prosperity was slowly deteriorating. Few neighborhoods within the territory were abandoned or impaired. A good portion of its lands reeked of death as constant revolt threaten its prevailing rule. Only the center of its trade remained vibrant and opulent, where the richest grew richer and the powerful continued to become impenetrable. At the heart of the city, a mansion stood at one of its peaks. Towering gates surround the grandiose home, metal grills that protect it, may very well reach the heavens. Inside the mansion walls, a man with white hair was standing without his shirt, staring at a mirror - a mirror so cherished, the same man had it imprisoned with golden frames. The man was letting out low growls, his fangs lengthening as his hand stretched to his own reflection.
~Alana~ ‘No! He is mine!’ Alana jolted in her seat. Shivers ran down her spine, unable to recognize the voice that she heard in her subconscious. She wound up looking around, trying to find the source of the voice. ‘Is someone connecting with me?’ “Alana? What’s wrong, darling?” Alric asked while putting an arm around her shoulders. She turned to Alric with a frown on her face, saying, “I don’t know. I thought I heard someone speak to me.” She swung her head and convinced herself, “Maybe I heard wrong. All this mind linking thing is confusing me." “Alana, you must know that while we can mind link, you can choose not to connect with anyone whom you don’t want to,” Alric explained. She watched as he tapped his head with two fingers and said, “With the strength of your mind.” She faintly smiled and answered, “Got it.” “Alric, why don’t you eat up?” Alana and Alric lazily turned to find Geneva, holding up a fork for her
~Alric~ ‘Darling?’ Never once did Alric hear Alana address him as such. As much as he wanted to rebuke Geneva for her actions, he also delighted in one jealous Alana Hope, his future Luna. He saw how her face reddened with anger, her eyes were practically burning holes through Geneva’s frame. He smirked repeatedly at Alana’s grudge and he craved to see it a little while longer… even if he had to swallow down the disgusting eggplant dish. Fuck. Alric hated eggplants, but for the satisfaction of the woman he adored, he had to bear it, just for that day. He knew Alana was steaming in anger when she left for the restroom, but he had to deal with Geneva before going after her. Turning to his childhood friend, Alric charged, “Does that please you, Geneva? Trying to put tension between me and your future Luna? Do you think that our bond will be that easy to break?” “Alric, I - I was just trying -” “I can see wh
