~Alric~
Embracing each other tightly, Alric repeatedly pecked on Alana’s face. Kai also joined in their hug, crying.
Alric understood how Kai was relieved at being saved. Repeatedly, he kept calling their names, asking if it was really over.
“It’s okay, son. Everything is okay now. You are safe,” Alric assured him. "Remember, daddy will always come to your rescue and now that Mommy's wolf is out, she will always protect you like she did earlier today."
He turned to Alana and pecked on her lips, saying, “As for you. Didn’t I tell you we were mates?”
Alric was certain Alana was crying for both reasons. She was happy that Kai was safe, and she also felt the same way - the connection, the bond between them now, as their wolves claimed each other as their fated mates.
All the wait. After the many decades of search, and endeavors they both underwent, it was finally clear now that they were meant to be together.
<Thank you for reading! The next chapter is tomorrow. Why do you think Alana's seal is not yet completely broken? What else is missing? My dearest readers, for those who haven't just yet, please leave a review on the book. That would really make me smile. :)
~Alana~ The second they entered Alric’s room, the couple frantically took off their clothes, their lips frequently crashed together. There was no denying it, they were on fire! “Fuck,” Alric hissed, while his hands kneaded on Alana’s breasts. His amber eyes glowed to a near gold as he lowered his nose to the slope of her shoulders. He took a deep whiff and claimed, “I am going to bite you - mark you for sure! You are mine. Fuck, you are so mine.” Alana chuckled. Her eyes looked down at his large hands that massaged her breast. She said, “Yes, get over it already. I’m all yours and you!” Her finger traced the curve of his muscles and claimed, “You are mine!” She did not know where her boldness was coming from, but she did not care. He was hers, and she was sure of it now. No more doubts. And because of that, she will, from now on, whole-heartedly enjoy what belonged to her, Alric being at the top of her list. “What the!” Alric cou
~Lana~ *** FLASHBACK: NINETEEN YEARS AGO *** “Hiya! Hiya!” Lana, regardless of her small and young frame, was boldly blocking her friend’s attacks. She managed to hold her pretend opponent down by pulling his forearm, and she struck his back with the use of her elbow. Quickly, she dashed to the other side while maintaining her grip on the boy, and with her strong leg, she kicked on his back. “Hiya!” “Good girl, Lana! As expected of my future Alpha,” a man with a great physique, with golden-brown hair and beautiful blue eyes like Lana’s, praised. The man then formed an apologetic frown before he turned to the boy and said, “Sorry, Reeth. You’ll make a good Beta for Lana.” “It’s okay, uncle Gunner. I will serve Lana with everything I have,” said the boy named Reeth. He smiled at Lana and said, "Good job, Lana." His words left the young Lana speechless, but soon, she laughed and claimed, "We’ll always be friends, Reeth." “La
~Lana~ “Speak to me.” After a gentle kiss on her face, Lana’s watery eyes opened at the sight of Alric.“Please tell me what’s going on.” After Lana’s memories came rushing back, she jerked awake, crying and screaming at the top of her lungs. She hasn’t spoken since, even after changing into her clothes. It worried Alric how she had not uttered a word that he sought for Valencia. Lana was brought to Alric’s study with Elenor and Valencia, observing her state. “Alana, here. I made a soothing tea for you. It will help you relax. I can feel your heart jumping erratically,” suggested Valencia, as she handed Lana the cup of tea. She silently accepted the tea and slowly finished it all down. Alric was now sitting beside her, his arms protectively circling around her frame. He said, “Alana, please. Please speak to me.” “Lana," she faintly corrected. “What?” He asked while his brows met.
~Lana~ “Let me see your mark,” Lana’s aunt requested, her hand nearly taking off her tunic. Lana could not help but flush profusely as she said, “How did you know?” Her aunt nearly snorted, and she replied, “Werewolves. I’m pretty sure they would not take long to mark their mates upon their recognition.” After marveling at Lana's mark, Lucille turned to Alric, who was sitting behind Lana. She said, “Thank you for taking care of Lana and Kai. Had I known you were the same person who had gotten Lana pregnant, I would not have hidden her scent from you.” “Of course, they are my family. I will do anything for them,” Alric replied, his eyes narrowing at Reeth, and low growls left his lips, as if ready to lunge at Lana's friend. After having met her aunt Lucille, Alric brought their guests to the Valmore home. Reeth, Lana’s childhood friend, was also introduced as one of the leaders of the rebellion at the Hidden Mist Valley Pack
~Author’s Narration~ Under the full moon, the mating ceremony was set on the biggest plains in the port of Valmore. Tents were planted to accommodate the guests and rows of seats, set on different levels, were temporarily made for everyone to settle down. At the front most, several Alphas of the neighboring packs came to witness the wedding of Alric and Lana. A long red carpet was laid down in the centermost part of the field. It created a long aisle where Lana would make her bridal walk. All guests were now in their designated seats while Lana lingered behind drapes of white curtains. She was wearing a nude illusion gown, where its sleeves, down to her chest, were embroidered with white gems. From afar, it looked as though the gleaming gems were glued to her skin. The same pattern faded out towards her chest, under her arms, and as it flowed down her princess-cut gown. With the dress’ design, Lana’s mark
~Lana~ “Keep up with me, darling!” Alric challenged Lana as she climbed on top of the highest peak at the Port of Valmore. A loud growl escaped Lana’s lips as her wolf jumped to the next clearing. The couple had been running in their wolf forms to where Alric planned their romantic night together, immediately after their mating ceremony. “How far more?” She probed. Pointing with his snout, Alric’s wolf replied, “We are almost there.” It did not take long for them to arrive at the top, where boulders of rocks stood now and then, but a wide flat surface could also be found, closer to the edge of the cliff. A huge tent was put in place, where inside, a king-size bed had been set up. While Alric shifted and took a big whiff of the surrounding air, Lana ogled at the romantic set-up inside the tent. Candles were already lit. Plumeria blooms were scattered on the bed and on the ground. The best part was h
~Lana~ In a graveled path within the pine forest, Reeth’s grey and black wolf thrust rocks with his pause in Drake’s way. Only then did he lunge at him and attempted to bite on his neck. Drake’s fawn-coated wolf rolled over with Reeth’s, both clawing while pursuing to take a bite. In the end, with how he was using the surrounding resources, Reeth managed to put Drake down with both his paws, his canines ready to snap. It was then that they shifted into their human. “While our kind is fast, we are also fighting against werewolves who hold almost the same speed and agility,” Reeth explained to Lana during their training session. “Thus, in our territory, mastery of the environment is key. We use it to our advantage.” Since Reeth knew the conditions at the Hidden Mist Valley Pack the most, Elenor suggested that he give insight to Lana and the Gammas, at least for a day or two. Lana’s aunt Lucille also came to add her own insights.
~Alric~ The gathering of Alphas had finally arrived. Alric led the circle, in a meeting held at the centermost part of Eastern Dhuran, Costa Veena, a territory belonging to the Blue Moon Pack. All in all, there were fifteen Alphas who came to that gathering, ten of which had long formed an alliance with Alric. They were inside a large conference room, where their Betas stood with them, a few of their men lingered behind them. Whereas, Alric sat next to Lana and Dean, on the other side. “Good afternoon, everyone.” Alric’s eyes landed on the current Alpha of the Dust Mountain Pack, the same group that allegedly held Lana’s father captive. “Thank you all for coming here today and accepting my invitation. As mentioned in my solicitation letters, I am expanding our business, hoping to partner with some other packs here that had not previously made an alliance with me,” Alric explained his intent. “I am offering a tra
