His black and enormous wolf growled at the three wolfmen that had arrived at the borders of the Dust Mountain Pack, his Beta Dean, and his new pack warriors stood behind him, also in their beast forms. The visiting werewolves brought Alric a message from Morfran.
“Our Alpha said, if you do not return Arabella and Gunner to the Hidden Mist Valley, we will attack the Port of Valmore! We will make slaves of your wives and whores out of them!” Said the wolf, who had earlier introduced himself as Blaze, Morfran’s Beta.
Alric became irked to the depths of his bones, his nostrils flared and his fangs dug against the soil. His eyes narrowed, and he felt all of his hair stand in anger. He announced, “Morfran can attack the Port of Valmore and court death! We will be waiting for him!"
He snarled loudly and announced, “Also send a message to Morfran!”
