The door to the bedroom banged open, smacking against the wall behind it and causing us both to snap awake and sit up, alert for a threat. I huffed and relaxed when I saw Varin standing in the doorway, a frown forming as I noticed the worried look on his face. Silas stood up and pulled on his jeans from the floor and looked at his Beta.

“What’s going on Varin, why are you worried?” Silas asked as he quickly pulled a shirt over his head.

“The council member Magnus Horne is here with Alpha Kane and some of his warriors. They won’t say why they’re here until the two of you come down to meet them.” He spoke quickly, his eyes flickering to me before he focused on Silas, his face giving away nothing.

That’s an interesting perspective. With Jax it was a hidden relationship and everything had to be kept secret, they also both changed and nothing was done maliciously. They just grew apart. With Silas, she is struggling with the bond and trying to come to terms with her feelings for him.

It’s not supposed to be perfect because people are not perfect. She’s a real person and she makes mistakes. She is being influenced by a bond that is sometimes more than she can control and a part of her does have genuine feelings for Silas, which makes everything much more messy

She threw a fit when Jax said he was jealous and said how dare he imply she would ever give in to the mate bond or how dare he not trust her prior promises to him and yet that’s exactly what she did. She then turns the tables and makes the other feel guilty. She gaslights men - Jax and Silas

    I woke in the morning feeling warm and secure, two sets of arms wrapped snugly around me with Kane’s face in my neck and Magnus’s in my hair. That couldn’t be comfortable.     I walked into the suite and found my men lounging on the couch in a very relaxed and domesticated manner. Kane was just in sweats and he sat in the corner of the sectional going over a few papers from a folder, a small frown of concentration on his face. I went into the shower and turned the water on hot, stepping in and letting it soothe my skin. I felt it the moment they entered the bathroom, the atmosphere shifting to something carnal and heavy. I turned to face them as I stayed under one of the shower heads in this huge walk-in glass shower, running my hands through my hair as I watched them stalk towards me naked and ready.     I looked around the space in awe, it was open concept and beautifully set up. There was a nice clean entranceway that opened up into a spacious living room with cream coloured couches, a navy blue coloured recliner chair, pale grey walls with one navy blue accent wall that was decorated with a collage, a large tv over an electric fireplace, and a huge window that overlooked the side of the house and it was a nice view. The kitchen was just to the side of the living room and it was amazing. The large stove, butcher block countertops, the stainless steel appliances and all the cabinetry were a nice navy blue colour with brass handles. It was to die for. I was so jealous of his kitchen and I knew Gram would have been for sure as well. I walked through the space and came to a home office that was decorated with shades of grey and cream and some navy accents like the curtains and a few comfy chairs on the other side of the black wood desk.
