UNDER THE BLOOD MOON

For a moment, neither of us spoke.

Shock was evident on his face, as if he hadn’t expected to find me here either.

“You shouldn’t be here” he said quietly, maintaining a safe distance between us.

I swallowed, forcing myself to stand still. 

My mind screamed at me to turn around and run back in the direction I came. Every instinct told me to put as much distance as possible between us. 

But my body had other plans.

He was the last person I wanted to see me like this, overwhelmed by desire, barely in control of my body. 

But, I was unable to resist his scent. 

Why was he here?

“Neither should you.” I managed to whisper.

His jaw tightened. 

“Forget this happened,” he said, turning his back to me.

His scent was overwhelming. 

I was suddenly conscious of his physical appearance.

He stood bare-skinned from his transformation, his back to me.

I could hear his heartbeat, it raced with desire. 

He didn’t want this, whatever this was to stop. 

Neither did I.

I don’t know what came over me, the feeling was too strong to ignore.

I walked over to him, closing the distance between us and placed my hand on his bare back.

He flinched when my hands touched him, he didn’t see it coming.

The feeling of my skin on his was electrifying. 

His breath hitched and before I could take in my surrounding, he had me pined to a nearby tree.

The sudden movement made me let out a moan.

His eyes seemed darker that usual, probably as a result of desire he felt.

Being in such close proximity to him didn’t help matters, my head was spinning and I needed him to kiss me.

All I could do was inhale his intoxicating scent and stare at his broad, hard, bare chest.

I found myself longing to touch and be touched by him, but this was wrong and we both knew it.

“You shouldn’t be here” he said, his gaze shifting away.

He was trying to resist his urge.

“Then unhand me and let me go” I replied. 

He had never listened to me before, and I hoped he wouldn’t start now.

“You’re making it hard for me to resist, Stormborne” he said, letting out a frustrated groan.

“Then don’t resist” I could’nt help myself, my emotions were getting the best of me, and I was powerless. 

I wasn’t usually this outspoken or direct, but he had this effect on me.

He looked conflicted, he was visibly struggling to keep his instincts in check. 

He unpinned me and backed away slowly, putting some distance between us.

I couldn’t help but use the opportunity to glance down.

“Leave Stormborne, before I do something we both will regret”

“You’re not the boss of me” I snapped at him. 

He hated being challenged, and I knew it.

I dont know where I found the courage to challenge him, but I did.

With a swift motion, his arms were around my neck, taking me by suprise.

I knew he was ruthless enough to snap my neck at such defiance, but I was sure he wouldn’t and it only my feelings stronger.

I could feel his breathe over my face, and the parts of my body in contact with his bare skin tingled.

“Don’t test me Stormborne, I will forget what we have going on and snap your neck this instant.” His voice was low and intimidating.

His voice sent a chill through me

His gaze traveled across my face, from my eyes to my lips. 

He allowed his gaze to wander, taking in my body, making me conscious of my body.

I was dressed in a shirt and a pencil jean, but his stare made me feel exposed. 

I watched his throat bob as he swallowed, apparently I wasn’t the only one affected by our close proximity. 

He held my waist and pulled me closer to him, his other hand still on my neck. 

He lowered his face to mine and planted a kiss on my lips.

 It was brief, but it left a tingling sensation on my lips and I wanted more.

“Stormborne” he called out, squeezing his eyes shut and bowing his head “I wouldn’t be able to control myself”

“I dont need you to” I replied, the desire evident in my voice. 

“Are you sure you want this?” He searched my face for an answer, but I’m certain desire was the only emotion on my face.

I nodded, unable to find my voice. 

He hesitated, as if my nod wasn’t enough to convince him.

“I want this” the words left my lips before I could hold back.  

That was all the confirmation he need before wrapping his arms around me and taking my lips in his.
