Maggie's POV.

As the sun cast its warm golden glow upon the land, I stood outside the grand entrance of my brother Kyle's imposing castle, hand-in-hand with Derek. The weight of anticipation settled in the air around us, as we prepared to seek his blessings for our union. This meeting held the potential to shape the future, to bridge the gap between our families.

With a deep breath, I stepped forward, the heavy wooden doors creaking open to reveal the opulence within. Kyle, the Alpha of our pack, stood tall and formidable, his piercing gaze fixed upon us. Memories of our tumultuous past threatened to resurface, reminding me of the long-standing feuds that had divided our families.

Kyle's eyes flickered with a mix of apprehension and lingering resentment as he looked at Derek standing beside me. "I hope you understand, Derek, that this is not a decision I make lightly. The wounds of the past run deep, and I have a responsibility to protect my sister and our pack."
