I wanted to follow Aiden but Blake stopped me.
“Leave him, Luna. He needs to be alone….”
“Was it something I said?”
“Perhaps, not intentionally. I don’t think he likes needing to be protected, especially by his mate. He is an Alpha, Selene. He is always the strongest wolf in the room, second only to his Father.”

Aiden POVThe feeling of the power radiating through my body was intoxicating. I had never felt so alive. The Moon Goddess was aiding Selene and Evangeline in training Blake and I to properly wield our new magic. We had no idea how much time was passing in the mortal realm, so we needed to act quickly and get back to the pack as soon as possible.My father was likely losing his mind with the sudden disappearance of both the future Alpha and Beta. He had done it. For the first time in our life, I stood separate from Liana. I took a step toward her and ruffled her thick coat as she nuzzled me in return. She then turned her regal form toward Aiden, bowing in submission. “Do you think….” he began hesitantly, “That is… Ronan wants out.” “I don’t see why not.” I responded thoughtfully. That was all I could manage. It stood to reason that if he had manifested Liana’s spirit corporeally, that he could do the same with his own wolf. “Try it…” I looked on in awe as Aiden harnessed the spirit magic of the Druids. I saw the moment Ronan’s spirit was extracted and it took the form of a magnificent black wolf. Ronan bowed his head submissively toward Aiden, a gesture of thanks, before he stalked toward Liana. They each looked at us for permission before taking off into the forest.
