ORION'S POV

Throughout that morning, I had been restless. I was feeling the aftermath of my girlfriend not belonging to me anymore, of how the space she had decided to take from me was having its effect on me.

It was crazy, the effect that a woman could have on me. Not just any woman, that particular woman. She had been on my mind throughout the day, and most times, I found myself wondering how she was faring at work, and how she was doing in general.

I tried to convince myself that it wasn't my cross to bear any longer, but I knew I was lying to myself. Ioved Emilia, and even the moon goddess had confirmed her as a mate for a reason. That was the dexterity of it all.
