Victoria lifted her head to meet my eyes. Her eyes were wet with tears, and her lips quivered. I kissed her eyelids and embraced her fragile body.
“Don’t cry, my darling. I can’t promise you anything. But I’ll treat you right.” I kissed her hair. “Now, get rest. I must meet my father to discuss what we should do with the Hurricane Dawn Pack.”
Victoria nodded. Then I wiped her tears one more time. She looked gorgeous, although crying. I could understand why I loved her in the past life. Our lovemaking was great. She was warm and understanding, but I think there was more about her. I needed to find out what made me fall for her.
