Thank you so much for reading!
Aloha Wonderful Readers, That's a wrap for Elena, Mason and the twins! Thank you for joining me for their journey! I hope you enjoyed the ride. I appreciate every single comment and review so please share your thoughts! You all make me smile, laugh, and keep going when I;m having a bad day so thank you for all your support! I have a short holiday planned with my family and then I will start writing Olivia's story. I hope to have a good start on it and begin publishing around the first week of June. You'll find out right away what led her to Elllie's door in the epilogue. And of course, as Mason's sister and Ellie's best friend, we'll see more of them in Olivia's story too. Stay tuned! Much love, Cara
Elena I wake with a groan as the sunlight streaming through the window steals into my peaceful oblivion. Last night’s little jumping off a bridge without a net adventure hadn’t ended well and this morning, everything hurts. It would be a shitty way to start my eighteenth birthday, if I did birthdays. Which I didn’t. Gingerly scooting out of bed, I stumble into the bathroom to assess the damage. Lifting the t-shirt I somehow managed to pull on before I passed out last night, I press a hand over the bruise blooming across my ribs and hiss as a stabbing pain shoots through my torso. Yep, those are broken. Not that it would stop me from doing something equally reckless again tonight. My ribs scream at me as I reach for the shower door. On second thought, maybe they need at least one day to heal before I find a new way to injure myself. I can find a less pain-inducing way to spend my time for one night. I hate that this is my life, constantly chasing the next adrenaline high to nu
Elena Texting Livvy I’m on my way to her house, I wait for my phone to ping with her return text. I never just show up at her door and knock in case her parents are home. They’ve been almost as broken as me since that night five years ago. They put on a brave face for their girls, but I can see the pain in their eyes and it hits a little too close to home so I avoid them. A frisson of fear skates down my spine when I hear a twig snap somewhere nearby. The hairs on my neck stand on end with the feeling of being watched. I spin around, scanning my surroundings, but there’s no one there and the forest is completely still, not even a leaf rustling. Then my phone dings in my pocket and I yelp. “Fucking hell, Elena! Get your shit together!” I mumble to myself. Am I so desperate for an adrenaline rush I’m creating imaginary threats to get high? Checking my phone for Livvy’s response, I pick up my pace as I head deeper into the woods. Thankfully she said her parents aren’t home and
Elena “May we cut in?” Mr. Tall, Dark and Devilishly Handsome says, casually laying a hand on Jake’s shoulder. “That’s up to Lena.” Jake glares back at him, looking completely unimpressed with the man touching him. “Lena,” the one standing behind me purrs, “that’s a beautiful name.” His warm breath on my ear makes me shiver and he chuckles at my response. Asshole. Over the past five years, I’ve made appearing cold-hearted into an art form. But for some reason, my body is reacting to these men as if they own it. That doesn’t mean I’m going to make it easy for them. What fun would it be if I didn’t make them work for it? So I turn over my shoulder and instead of getting lost in the stormy gray eyes of the man who has me seeing double, I hold him in an icy stare. “It’s actually Elena. Only my friends use the nickname and I don’t know you.” His lips turn up in a wicked grin and I’m pretty sure my body betrays just how much I want to get to know him. “That’s okay, gorgeous. We
Asher I can’t believe I let my brother drag me to this bar. But more than that, I can’t believe I let myself get this close to the alluring little she-wolf that sets all my senses on fire. When we came to Glass Lake to visit our asshole estranged father, I knew it was going to be a shit show, but this is so much more than I bargained for. I felt her presence as soon as we crossed the border into Glass Lake territory. We both did. But when I wanted to run the other direction, my twin brother insisted we track her down. He was like an excited puppy and I was the responsible adult who couldn’t let him off-leash on his own, so I tagged along. That was my first mistake. Because once I set eyes on her, I knew it would be hard as hell to walk away. She’d been alone, running through the woods leaping over obstacles and shooting arrows at makeshift targets she’d set up. She wore skintight black leather from head to toe and looked like a fucking avenging angel. She was breathtaking. I
Mason “Alpha Cross, with all due respect, you have no right to tell me how to run my household.” One of my pack members, an older traditionalist wolf, blares at me. “I do when it involves the welfare of the wolves under your roof.” I reply calmly. “When I was sworn in as Alpha I made it very clear that the old ways would not be tolerated. No she-wolves will be bartered like property against their will in my pack! “Your daughter will be allowed the opportunity to find her fated mate or choose one for herself when she comes of age and not before. Any arrangement you made with the South Woods Alpha you can consider null and void. I’ll be happy to inform him myself if you prefer.” I sit behind my desk with my hands folded in my lap, refusing to let this man rile me. There are still plenty of hold outs just like him here in Sacred Moon and I’ll be Goddess damned if I give them a reason to fight. He glares at me with burning hatred in his eyes but what he doesn’t know is he can’t po
Elena Damp earth, like the forest after a rain. A crackling fire, smokey and seductive. Their scents bleed into my consciousness, rousing me from sleep. That’s when it all comes flooding back. Last night, my shift, my wolf . . . them. “Adira?” I reach out for my wolf. Was it even real or just a dream meant to torture me with everything I’ve ever wanted before it’s all ripped away? “I’m here.” She purrs and a sense of relief washes through me. A hard slab of muscles shifts underneath me and she purrs some more, obviously enamored with these hot as hell twins who claim we belong to them. I don’t blame her. Their words of praise, encouragement, and their soothing touches during our shift are things I’ll never forget. And when Adira finally stood before them, I swear they were as thrilled as any mates would be. I can’t help but let my mind drift back to that moment. “Fuck. Me. You’re beautiful!” Aspen gasps as my wolf unfurls, shaking out her fur and bouncing excitedly on her p
Mason “Ellie! Are you hurt?” I call out when I hear her cries, following the sound and her scent through the woods. “Ellie, I’m coming!” But when she finally comes into view, the sight sends me into a murderous rage at the same time a thousand knives pierce my heart. Because she’s not hurt and those weren’t cries of pain I heard. Not even close. Some guy’s cock is still buried inside her. He slides free from her body as they all turn to face me. The men with her, obviously twins, stand shoulder to shoulder to block her from view. But she peers out between them, our eyes connecting, and in that moment, I know she feels it too. Our bond. “Mine!” I roar, fur pushing up through my skin as my wolf forces the shift, ready to tear apart the men touching his mate. My dads and the Alphas try to restrain me but even they aren’t enough to hold back my own Alpha wolf. Not when his mate is naked and in the arms of not one but two other men. Another violent roar rips from my chest as I wrenc
