Morning came early. It felt like I had only slept two minutes ago. I quickly went through my morning routine. I had packed extra binders. This trip was for about a day or two depending on the Alpha’s mood. I had no idea why he was going to another town, but it was my job to go wherever he went.
At sharp seven we were sitting in the car. I was sitting shotgun with his driver at my side and the Alpha behind. The Alpha as usual hadn’t spoken a word. He looked like he hadn’t slept at all. In two hours we had reached the town. It was small and green. But the prettier it looked, the scarier it was.
Human slaves were tied with ropes and were being beaten on pedestals. The Alpha stopped the car, and we went outside. The crowd parted as they sensed the Alpha’s presence, I led the way ahead of him. And I could see scared faces staring back at me. A woman from the crowd fell at the Alpha’s feet.
“Sir! Sir please! Help my son! He’s being punished for nothing!”
The woman was skinny in a way that scared me. Her bones were protruding out of her skin, her face hollow, and her dark short hair hung loosely by her sides. She joined her hands and begged. The Alpha nodded at me and I gently helped her get on her feet.
“Please Ma’am.”
Her hands were cold, but her grip was tight on my arm. “You are a man too, you can help my son!”
A voice groaned in pain and all the attention went back to him. A young boy who looked about sixteen was on the ground, his face faced the sky. I could see the blood on his mouth and forehead.
A small, stout man stood over him with a sadistic grin, in his hand he held a whip. The Alpha without a warning went to the man.
The man was surprised but he didn’t move.
“Alpha Anderson, nice to see you here,” he said but his voice indicated otherwise.
“Revon…Leave the boy,” the Alpha’s voice echoed in the silence.
The man stared for a few seconds and then looked at the crowd in disgust.
“I’ll leave for now… but I will come back,” he said angrily and with one look at the Alpha and me, left.
The crowd around us bowed, the woman who was in tears came forward and thanked the Alpha hundred times over. I went over to look at the boy who was still bleeding. His curly hair was stuck against his skin with blood. I took my robe off and wiped his blood. His eyes were half closed, and he looked at me smiling.
“Thank you kind sir,”
In a few minutes a medic was called and the young boy was being taken to be treated. I wore the bloodied robe inside out and went to join the Alpha back in the car. I couldn’t ditch my robe, it provided me with extra coverage.

“Ah! Alpha Anderson my friend… so good to see you,” a man with golden brown hair and blue eyes smiled. He looked like he was about forty five with a thick beard around his chin.
“Chris Allen.” The Alpha acknowledged.
We were inside a Mansion similar to the Alpha’s but smaller in size, with very few people around.
“I assume you are here to talk about the…” he paused as he looked at me, and raised his eyebrow.
“He stays.” the Alpha responded simply.
“Right, so as I was saying. You’re here to talk about Human Enslavement Laws, is that correct?”
“Yes, I’m working on revoking the laws. But I need your help, and I need your alliance.”
“Is there a possibility of a war, Alpha?”
“Some resistance is expected. But I haven’t revoked the laws yet. I’m traveling to see how humans are being treated everywhere,”
“But why would you want to revoke such an old law? No offense but this law has been going on for ages, and you can’t just possibly disrupt the natural hierarchy in the society, Alpha.”
“Change is paramount. We cannot always have the Humans suffer like this. I believe in equality no matter what species. Human, Werewolf or any other creature.”
“But if we let them go, they will try to harm us, and try to cut us into pieces like lab rats,”
“We come to a common conclusion. There’s not many of them left, Chris, and it's our job to protect them, not treat them like dirt,”
The way he defended humans was not something I expected. All these months, he had been working on this?
“What do you suggest then?”
“I suggest we give them equal rights. We give them the opportunity to work wherever they want, live wherever they want and be with whoever they want… I don’t want the men or the women to be forced into doing anything. Our ancestors have spilled a lot of human and werewolf blood trying to conquer the human race. And it's been almost a hundred years, these humans should not be punished for something their ancestors did.”
Chris Allen thought for a moment, and then nodded, “I do agree with you. I have seen some heinous crimes on these weaklings. They sure don’t deserve it… but how will we convince a whole nation? A whole country?”
“I’ve been in contact with the leaders of the west and the east. Some have shown support, they’re slowly eradicating people who have committed crimes to humans. I trust you Allen. And I want you to oversee if the treatment is fair and just. I will announce the law soon, but I need to know if I have you by my side.”
Chris Allen got up from his chair and bowed.
“I pledge my allegiance to you Alpha.”
“You don’t have to bow to me Chris, we’re allies.” The Alpha then got up and walked over to him and shook his hand.
“But I’d like you to start your work as soon as possible. Eliminate those you see doing any injustice. I count on you, my friend.”
After a few words were exchanged, the Alpha was escorted to his room. And I was sent to a servants quarters in the Mansion. I urged to stay outside his room, but Chris Allen’s maids denied my pleas.
“Our guards will be stationed around Alpha Anderson sir, you can get some rest,”
That’s exactly what I didn’t want to do. After things were settled down, a few hours later I went up to his room to check on him. I knocked on his door and to my surprise a woman with stark green eyes and long beautiful black hair opened the door.
“Oh, hello” she smiled.
She wore a long flimsy dress, the color similar to her eyes, and she stood barefoot leaning against the door. A red ruby necklace gleamed at her throat.
“Miss,” I bowed, “I’m here to check on the Alpha. I’m his–”
“Bodyguard I know,” she answered, “I saw you when you entered this Mansion.”
She then opened the door wider, revealing the Alpha sitting shirtless on the bed, with white bandages wrapped around his back and chest. His arm had small cuts.
My eyes widened and I carefully stepped around the woman and went towards the Alpha.
“Sir! Are you alright! I–I was escorted immediately, I told them to let me go but they wouldn’t–”
“Little boy,” the woman interrupted. She was still landing leaning against the door with a smile on her lips.
“He’s fine, he hurt himself while shifting,”
I looked back at the Alpha but he wouldn’t meet my eyes. I wasn’t sure if I could touch him. Or his wounds. I looked at the woman and then around the room to find traces of any fights, or if this woman had attacked him.
“How?” I asked desperately. I couldn’t bear to look at him like this, it hurt me physically. I was bound to him by a duty and he was hurt.
The woman unhinged herself from the door and stood in front of me.
“Sometimes shifting causes injuries, little human.Nothing to worry about.”
Her green eyes bore into mine as she smiled wider, “Don’t worry yourself sick, he’ll heal. Go on now,”
“But I’m supposed to stay by his side–”
“Winters you may leave, I’ll be alright. Nothing to worry about.” the Alpha said suddenly.
“I– Sir…” I wanted to protest but I didn’t. He assured me that he would be fine.
I bowed twice and then left.

Julian Anderson (The Alpha) ‘s POV
“Did you really have to be that rude?” I asked as the door shut softly behind Winters.
“I can’t have another headache when I’m trying to heal you,” Larisa said as she sat down on the couch opposite the bed.
“You really need to stop training so hard, Julian,”
“Well I can’t have these random shifting episodes during work now can I?”
“Maybe you should give in to your instincts?”
“I wish I had the time to.” I sighed.
“How’s it going with Anna?…” Larisa asked.
“She kissed someone at the Ball– right in front of my eyes…and then the dude she kissed ditched her later on for someone else.”
“Ouch, I’m sorry.” she said with a frown on her face.
“Don’t heal this,” I said as I grabbed my shirt.
“And why is that?”
“Because I need this pain to control myself,”
“Well you can be all masochist later on, but I can’t have my only family bleed to death.”
“Trust me,” I said as I adjusted the shirt. “I’ll be fine.
(TRIGGER WARNING: THIS CHAPTER CONTAINS HARASSMENT, STRONG LANGUAGE, BLOOD,VIOLENCE ETC READERS DISCRETION ADVISED ) The room was cold. It was a nice, tiny room with just a bed. I couldn’t change here, not when I felt unsafe and unfamiliar. Plus seeing the Alpha like this I felt even more anxious. He was hurt and it was my job to protect him. I failed. I sat on the edge of the bed, with my boots still on. I felt uneasy for some reason. Maybe I should go out and walk? It was almost two in the night, the sky was pitch black. Without a second thought I decided to go out. The Mansion was quiet and this helped me slip away easily. The Alpha was probably asleep by now. The woman was probably taking care of the Alpha. That was good, he could relax. I walked silently crushing the dirt below my feet, hands tucked into my jacket. It wasn’t cold, but the night air was cool. The guards around the Mansion said nothing when I crossed the gates and I continued with confidence. Maybe they were o
“Goodness, you’re so young and you’ve been burdened with so much. Hiding your identity, taking care of two family members, being a bodyguard.” Larisa looked at me with pity in her eyes. “I don’t need any sympathy,” I muttered, “I do this out of the love for my family, and I’ll do it for another hundred years if I need to… Miss,” Larisa sat on the chair in front of me, today she wore a short white dress with yellow flowers on it. Her black hair spilled over her shoulders like a smooth river. She squinted her eyes and looked at me ,she then bit her lip and smiled. “Okay. Look, I believe you, because I’ve seen the worry in your eyes for my cousin brother, I’ll keep your secret…” she trailed off thinking. “But?” I knew there was something coming next. “But you need to tell him. I think he deserves to know. Keeping such trivial information from the biggest Alpha in the country is not right,” “I can’t Miss, I’ll lose my job.” “You won’t cupcake, I can promise you that,” she said as sh
Julian Anderson (The Alpha)’s POV Cold water had helped with the constant rush of thoughts in my head. Evelyn was safe and sound in her room, with the person I trusted the most. There was nothing to worry about. She had been so brutally hurt I had almost lost my composure when I saw her on the bed lying unconscious with Larisa treating her. I had informed Chris that his General had attacked one of mine. Though I wondered what she was doing outside at the time. I had wanted to kill that man– wanted to rip his head off his shoulders, but I couldn’t, not until I proposed the law and had it come into action. I also left him alive for a public execution–so that people would see and know what would happen if they broke the law. It was almost midnight when I came out of the shower, I wrapped a towel around my waist and was rummaging through the wardrobe to find my clothes when a knock on the door startled me. Who would be at my door at this time? When I opened the door, I didn’t expec
Being back to Evans was a relief even though I loved being myself, I didn’t want to risk it in the public just yet. Julian had his mask back on– the face of the Alpha, the face he showed to the public. Larisa was coming along. Apparently she had been moving around to different places and discovering new things there. Perks of being a rich werewolf. “It’s going to be so much fun having you here,” she whispered as I walked in front of the Alpha, with her on my left. “What?” I was surprised. She couldn’t possibly expect me to stay here. “You could stay here sometimes and we could do more sleepovers!” I stiffened. I couldn’t leave my family like that. I had almost forgotten about my responsibilities that night, and the day after. I had felt guilty the whole way back home. *** When we got to his office, everyone had relaxed a bit. I still took my place behind Julian’s chair. This was still my job, and I couldn’t lose focus at my workplace. A maid walked inside with three thick enve
Julian had asked me to live at his house. His private house. And I was shocked to say the least. When I asked him why, he said he’d want me to be safe after he was going to announce the new laws. He said there would be a possibility of a civil war. But I didn’t want to hide, I wanted to fight. I didn’t want to seek protection just because I liked Julian. I wanted to stand by him and fight for him, and for my and our human rights. He knew I would say that, but he still kept the offer open. It was still many days until Julian announced the new laws. His alliances in the other regions had already begun their work– protect humans, punish the criminals and pay the workers the amount they actually deserve. *** It was around four in the evening when Matthew came into Julian’s office smiling from ear to ear. Julian greeted him and asked him why he was here. “Evans and I have something planned, Alpha… if you could please allow Evans to hangout with me the rest of the day, I’ll be grateful.
“Do you think it’s true?... about the statue?” I asked as I removed my jacket, resting it on top of the chair. We were in Julian’s room and he was sitting on his bed still in his work clothes as he watched me. “Maybe,” he said, a little distracted as if mentally he was somewhere else. “Would you… would you be willing to try it with me?” I asked quietly. He snapped back to the present and looked at me, his eyes wide with shock. “Would you be okay with that?” I nodded. “I guess so,” He then smiled wide and leaned on his arms backwards, “I’m sure you are my mate, but we’ll go there and test that statue out soon.” “Okay,” I smiled as I kept my weapons belt on the table. There was still something I wanted to ask Julian, and this seemed the right time. “Julian… that night, how did you know where I was?” Julian’s expression hardened and he straightened up, bringing his arms on his lap. “I couldn’t sleep that night… I went out for a walk but I couldn’t get you out of my head.
Phase one was the first step to get rid of Human discrimination– Getting rid of all enslaved humans. In the west and the east; the two Alpha’s– Jiya Williams –who took her husband’s place after he was brutally murdered by Werewolves, because he freed all human slaves. (Julian had told him to wait for his signal; but he went ahead and did it anyway.) And Caleb Long– the Alpha of the east region. The south was ruled by Julian’s good friend - Gabriel Allen. The first trip was to the east. Jiya Williams was a magnificent woman. Her brown skin glowed under the sun as she stood near the doors of her grand mansion, where the entrance was decorated with flowers of all colors. It was as if she had added life to her lands. Everywhere you looked, it was perfectly crafted, colored and kept. The doors, the houses, the crops, the lands, the markets and most importantly– the people. It was difficult to believe that this place would be anything less than peaceful. But not everything that glitters is
This is the story set in a universe where the Werewolves rule over the planet and the humans are their slaves. The Werewolves have left only half of the human population. Some of them were killed and some turned and took their places in the packs all around the world. The humans work and pay their taxes to the Alpha of their country. The Alphas are what kings were to humans. The Werewolf hierarchy is as follows: Each kingdom is ruled by an Alpha, Usually, the Alpha title is passed on from generation to generation but if someone from the lower ranks dares to challenge the Alpha to a duel, a fight to death, and can show his dominance and his strength then he would be declared as the new Alpha. The Alpha’s right-hand man or ‘the false Alpha’ is the Beta - the second in command. Can replace the Alpha in case they are not around. Beta’s acts as the advisor and the only person with whom the Alpha maintains direct contact. A bond between the Alpha and its Beta is stronger than blood. Bet
