It was the first day of the month, so Nina went to find Claire. The two ladies sat in the living room, discussing.

"You said you were going into heat this month, is that still the case?" Nina inquired, and Claire nodded.

"Yes. Axel and I discussed it already. I should be expecting it sometime next week."

"And I will be expecting not to see you for the rest of the month. Axel could already not concentrate around you on your normal days, he would be totally lost with your pheromones everywhere." Nina teased.

When she-wolves are on heat, their body releases pheromones, making them completely irresistible to their mates, and even other unmated wolves. The urge to have sex would be maddening to both the male and female.

Claire laughed. "We will try not to be too unavailable."
