Chapter 57

Sheila's point of view

I was completely speechless. My eyes went from Killian back to the figure standing in front of the cottage door.

"Devon?" I called in a whisper. This was impossible. He was supposed to be dead. The sentence had been handed down by Killian and the court.

What the hell was this?

My lips broke into a surprised smile. I couldn't hide the elation that was rooted in my gaze. I kicked my legs in motion, rushing to Devon. As soon as I was next to him, I sprawled my hands around him, embracing him.

He groaned, placing a hand on his ribs. "Easy there. I am still healing." He muttered, jokingly.

"How? I thought you were... " I couldn't even bring myself to say the word. I actually didn't expect to see him again, well and alive.

"Dead?" Devon completed it when I struggled with the word.

I nodded my head to him.

"Frankly, I thought I would be. Allen and two other warriors brought me here. They told me that I'd be safe here, and the Alpha ordered it." Devon said, his eyes mov

Oh man! Just when it’s heating up….cliffhanger! Glad Killian saved him, goes towards making amends for all his sh*ty behaviour. I’ve got to admit I’m waiting for Thea to pull some stunt that will get Killian in trouble! Absolutely brilliant story, love it! Need more chapters please
