“Damn you, Rachel.”

Imelda hit her foot against the table angrily. Clenching her fist, she glared out of the window with tears streaming down her cheeks.

The thought that she was reprimanded by the Alpha just because of me, made her feel very annoyed.

“After everything I helped you do, Kyle. I went through so much to help you defeat Alpha Dane, and now you’re choosing that stupid Rachel over me? Did he forget all we went through in the hands of Rachel’s cruel father?” She sobbed silently.

But she was interrupted when she heard a faint knock on her door. Furrowing her brows, her gaze went straight to the door. She wasn’t expecting anyone, who could have come to see her? Was it Alpha Kyle? Did he suddenly feel sorry for the way he spoke to her?

The thought of that made her sobbing face beam with a smile. Wiping off the tears on her face, she rushed to the door. Twisting the doorknob open, she pushed the door open, and her countenance changed immediately.
