Layla POV I roll over and look at the clock, groaning when I see it's only four am. I climb out of bed and go to the bathroom for a shower. I throw on a pair of leggings, sports bra, hoodie, and sneakers before going outside into the crisp morning air. The town is quiet; everybody is still in their beds; I don't need much sleep anymore. Amy POV I woke up in tears, my hair and body drenched in sweat. Layla was in the dark; I could feel her pain, and a knife pierced my stomach. My hand clutched my chest as severe pain ripped through me. Then I saw Layla walking out of a cave covered in blood; she was surrounded by wolves. Layla needs me, and nothing will stop me from going to her. I climb out of bed, rush to the shower, and get dressed. Layla POV I am glad Amy is here; she has always been the one I went to when things got tricky. I haven't told anyone else what Sasha and Isaac did to me in the cave. I giggle, watching Amy sleep; when drool runs down her chin. Amy has always been a late riser, so I climb out of bed, trying not to disturb her, and go for my morning jog. The last four weeks have flown by; Brea is a marvel with computers; I have put her in charge of our IT department, and she has three shifts of six wolves. Layla POV I can't take my eyes off the beautiful twin girls on my bed; I promised their dying mother I would look after them, and I will until I die; they have filled the hole in my heart. Amy sits beside me on the bed and asks, “Did she tell you their names, Layla?” I shake my head. “NO,” the poor woman didn't get the chance. I already know what I want to name them. Nathan POV I fucked up; Layla didn't leave me, she was taken from me by two psychopaths, and I can't kill them; she already has. What the fuck am I going to do to make this right. Guilt has been gnawing at my gut since Amy told me. Layla was the best thing ever to happen to me, and I blew it. Layla POV Ellie and Beth are growing so fast; they are constantly smiling; I can spend hours watching them when they are asleep or awake. Ellie started chuckling for the first time yesterday, and Beth followed minutes later. It's the best sound in the world when a baby laughs. I smile, walking to their cot to ensure they are still asleep before I go downstairs to meet Zach. We jog around the outskirts of town and meet Marian and Monique at the training arena.
