                                                                      SARA

The annual moonstone ball was getting closer. I have been so nervous. Aldo had assigned me a tutor, to teach me everything I needed to know.

Eden had told me we needed to act like we were actually engaged. He had invited a lot of people to the ball.

After a stressful rehearsal with my tutor, I decided I would go to the library, it’s my most happy place in the palace.

As I got closer to the library, I heard some noise. Moans of pleasure were coming from the library. I peeked into the room and saw Eden having sex with a woman. His eyes were closed as he slammed into her from behind.

I felt a sharp pain of jealousy in my chest and ran to my room. Why am I bothered he’s having sex with another woman? We are not even together, besides I am just a slave girl sold to him. I sighed and laid on my bed and slept off.

A loud knock woke me up from sleep. Aries walked in smiling. I looked at the window and noticed it was dark outside. How did I sleep for so long?

“You didn’t come down for dinner, your majesty, so I brought your food.” Said Aries.

I tried to get up but I was too weak, it was like something was pulling me down. Aries noticed and hurriedly walked close and touched me. “ Your majesty, you are burning up!!!”

She walked out of the room terrified and came back with Aldo and a lady.

“This is Ethel, she’s a healer, she would help you get well.” Aldo introduced the lady that walked in with him.

Ethel gave me a soft smile as she walked closer to examine me. Her eyes saw the scars on my shoulder and she went pale.

I could see in her eyes she wanted to ask, she asked Aldo to leave as she wanted to undress me.

After Aldo left, she reached out to her bag and brought a small bottle. She gave me the contents inside the bottle to drink. I drank it and felt relaxed almost immediately.

“You just had stress, you need rest,” she glared at me.

The past weeks had  been really stressful as a result of the on coming ball.

“ Can I ask you something, princess?” Ethel asked.

I nodded, she looked at me with her brown eyes.

“Were you cursed by a witch?” She glared at me waiting for a response.

“H-how did you know?” I stuttered.

“I’m a witch and I could see you have been caused by one.” Ethel said, smiling.

I jumped out of bed immediately, terrified.

“Stay away from me, don’t come close to me.” I shouted.

Aldo walked in with Aries, they were confused at why I was acting that way. He gave Ethel a look that he needed answers.

“Calm down princess, I won’t hurt you.” She stood up, reaching for my arm.

I yanked my arm away from her and moved close to the door, I was moving backwards away from her. Tears slid down from my eyes and my breathing became fast. I fell and passed out.

My head was hurting as I opened my eyes. I looked around the room, Aldo, Aries and Ethel were looking at me with worries on their faces.

“What happened?” I asked.

“Princess you passed out, three days ago.” Aries replied.

The memories of what happened came crashing down, I sat up immediately. My eyes moved to Ethel standing beside Aldo.

“ What are you still doing here?” I asked angrily. I noticed something different about me. My scars were gone.

My eyes met Ethel’s and she gave me a soft smile.

“Calm down princess, the alpha asked her to stay to make sure you are okay for the ball tonight.” Aldo explained.

At the mention of the ball, I jumped out of bed worried at Eden’s reactions. He had warned me not to ruin the night or I would feel his wrath.

“Get my dress, I need to start getting ready.” I told Aries.

I stood in front of the mirror, the person I was seeing in the mirror couldn’t have been me. I was wearing a long emerald green dress that hugged my petite body.It modified my breast and made me have curves with a long slit exposing my lap.

Aries dressed my hair in a messy bun and did a light makeup on my face. She put a diamond necklace and earrings on me that Eden had sent over.

“You look beautiful, princess.” She said in awe.

“Thank you Aries, I should get going, I’m late.” I hurriedly walked out of the room heading downstairs.

I met Aldo outside, he decided to walk me downstairs, We came to a halt when we saw Eden. He looked breathtaking with his three piece suit, his hair was perfectly styled.

“My Alpha.” Aldo bowed.

Eden stood at the stairs, leaning against the rails. He looked up and our eyes met. Something flashed in his eyes as he scanned my body slowly.

“ You can leave now.” He ordered Aldo

I lowered my head as he climbed towards me, he stood in front of me with a frown.

“I have warned you to never keep me waiting, you will pay later.” He leaned towards me.

He grabbed my hands with a force and dragged me down the stairs. I winced in pain, my shoe was making it difficult to walk fast, I couldn’t meet up with his pace.

“You are hurting me.” I cried out.

He stopped and glared at me angrily. “ You made me late to my event, you would take the blame if the need arises, okay?”

“Yes.” I lowered my head.

The ball room was beautifully decorated as we walked in. I heard laughter and music being played. There were a lot of people and I suddenly became anxious.

“Be calm, people are watching and remember to put on a smile.” He warned.

“ Here comes the Alpha and his fiancée.” Announced Aldo.

All eyes were on us as the music stopped. Eden and I walked in slowly. There were murmurs coming from different corners of the room, I became tense.

Eden gave me his hand, I played along and took it. He led me to the middle of the room and nodded for the music to start. I was very nervous.

“Smile, Sara, don’t ruin it.” He whispered into my ears in a warning tone.

We started dancing, thankfully I had taken dance lessons from the tutor,Aldo assigned to me.

“This dress is beautiful.” He said, smirking.

I was shocked. I blushed and wondered why he was hot and cold at the same time.

“The dress is beautiful, doesn’t mean it looks lovely on you.” He suddenly said,

I felt hurt by his words but I gave him an evil smile. We danced for a few minutes until  the music stopped. I squeezed his shoulder very hard. His eyes widened as a painful groin left his lips., I smiled and walked away.

Everyone was having a good time. Eden had introduced me to friends and dignitaries he had invited. He announced to the pack that I am his fiancée.

Some members of his pack were happy while some scoffed because I am human.

Eden was talking to some of his invited guests, so I decided to take a walk to the garden. I was feeling overwhelmed. I was not used to crowds because i was locked up all my life.

I sat at the swing and swung humming to a song. A man walked out of the dark corner and stood in front of me. I became terrified.

“Who are you?” I asked shakily.

He walked closer to me and lifted my chin,he looked into my eyes. He was handsome, tall with a well defined body built.

He caressed my face and I took a step back.

“Don’t touch me.” I shouted.

He laughed and moved closer. “You are beautiful.”

He reached for my waist and pulled me closer, I gasped.

“ What is your name?” He whispered into my ears.

I stamped on his feet and ran towards the ball room. He groaned in pain and called out to me. I ran into someone’s chest, I looked up and met Eden’s angry eyes.

“Why are you outside? What did I tell you about not leaving my side?” Eden growled.

The man from earlier walked towards us and smiled cockily when he saw Eden.

“Aaron back off.” Eden ordered using his alpha’s voice.

I watched as both of them looked at each other in a staring contest, Aaron was smirking the whole time.

Eden’s hands reached for my waist possessively.

“You are being an asshole,I didn’t know she was yours, friend, she’s beautiful.”Aaron said with his eyes fixed on me.

“I am warning you Aaron, stay away!” Eden snapped.

“Okay,I have heard you, asshole.” He smiled, raising his hands in surrender.

“When did you get here pal?” Eden asked, smiling.

Pal? Are there friends?

“I just got here when I met this damsel out here.” Aaron stretched his hands towards my face.

“Aaron!” Eden growled.

“I would be seeing you soon, beautiful” Aaron winked as he walked away.

I had a feeling Aaron would be trouble.
