Chapter 17: The man downstairs
Nala P.O.V
The entire night I could not sleep remembering the cold blue eyes alpha. Every second I try to close my eyes. My eyes widen quickly seeing his face, remembering the awful pain he put me through. I curled up within the bed my mamma and I shared afraid to leave the room.
I did not tell my mamma of what had happened after my alpha mate had caught me nor Dr. Charles. I did not want to worry her. She needed to think about getting well so we could leave where it was safe.
"You've been so silent the day Dr. Charles brought you home, are you alright?" mamma asked me as she exits the bathroom. I nodded lying to her.
My mamma sat beside me and touched my head still concern about me.
"I am just terrified that I met my mate," I told my mamma. It was not a lie but a truth. I was, after what he did to me.
