Chapter Eighteen

JENNY’S POV

We kept on walking in silence and I couldn’t help but wonder where we were going. I knew he wanted me to see it first before letting me know which was why he wasn’t telling where we were heading to but I was getting curious and I wanted to know so I stopped walking and he stopped too when he noticed I wasn’t moving before he looked at me.

“Why’d you stop? We’re almost there” he asked me and I looked at the long passage that we were still walking through. The lights were on so it was very bright but it didn't look like we were almost at the end of the passage yet.

“It doesn’t look like we are almost there yet though” I said to him with a straight face and he chuckled before he took my hand again with a smile on his face.

“Come on Jenny, just follow me and you’ll see. I swear we’re almost there” he replied but I still wouldn’t move even when he took my hand. I didn’t know why but I didn’t trust him enough to let him lead me to where I didn’t know all alone. I had every reas
