Serena called Barbara later and recounted everything. The latter sounded quite surprised on hearing this. “He went to fae kingdom?” Barbara repeated in awe. Serena had never heard her so taken aback. “Yes,” she mumbled, her cheeks heating up when she now remembered how she had a conversation in this very room.

Dorian was pissed off. “Why is there another fae with us?” Kai grumbled for the umpteenth time. He had reached the palace early and was looking forward to spending some time with Serena.
