Chapter 11

Alexa's POV…

I opened my eyes slowly, realising I had just woken up in a bright room. I could hardly recognise where I was as I looked around.

‘Where am I?’ I asked myself.

Severe pains travelled throughout my entire body, making me feel an unusual sort of weakness. I tried to get up, but that only seemed to reawaken the pain as the wounds began to sting me badly. I suddenly began to recall what had happened.

I'm supposed to be dead by now, right? I couldn't have possibly survived being flogged till the next day.

Did Alpha Logan pity me and order his guards to stop lashing me? I got more confused as I asked myself numerous questions. I managed to sit up, noticing the thin bed I was lying on was soaked with my blood.

I wondered how I got here; I couldn't have walked into this room by myself. I knew I was forgetting something and tried straining my brain to remember.

‘Think deeply; there's something you're forgetting,’ Kim confirmed and just then, I remembered how I got here.
