Chapter 52 - Venus and the wolf

Gabriella woke up with a start and it took a moment for her to realize she was in Melody’s room in Melody’s parent’s home. She flinched for a second as she sat up and felt the enormous bandage on her side. The memories of what happened rushed back and she rolled her eyes. Those damn angels! If they could hide the Wolf King, why the hell couldn’t they just heal her wounds?

Why hadn’t her wound healed? The thought was awfully distressing as she got up and slowly made her way downstairs to where all the noise was coming from. Lucienne was pacing back and forth, growling terribly. Why the others around him tried to calm him down? As if feeling her presence, he looked up and rushed over. His arms carefully slipped around Gabriella and no amount of her protesting was going to stop him from carrying her over to the couch to sit down. She thanked him feeling grateful because this wound was tiring her out a lot.
