Chapter 5 His gaze

"Riley, what's wrong, you look pale," Cassie asked with concern as I entered the office.

"Uhm, it's nothing" I replied sitting on my chair

" Did the president say something, he can be really scary"

" No, I am just feeling home sick" I lied, I couldn't tell her why I was looking pale because I don't even know why I was having this strange emotion stirring up inside me, since after I left the president's office.

She smiled "I understand, you are a long way from home, don't worry you would get used to it here"

"Oh, it's time for lunch, the food in the company's cafeteria is good, you have to try it," she said shutting down her computer and standing up "come on, let's go, I am sure the food will brighten you up"

"Yeah, sure" I stood without hesitating being the foodie I am, I was always delighted when food was mentioned.
