The Holidays were now over, and I was already back at work. Arlo was also back in school. Since we had a lot of leftover work from the one-week break, Luna Liliana asked us to stay a little bit later in the babysitting service. I didn’t have the conscience to refuse her since she gave us the opportunity to stay at the lakehouse, and she also took care of Arlo and Devyn when we were gone.
I couldn’t fetch Arlo from school, so I asked Desiree a favor if she could be the one to go in lieu of me. It’s a good thing that she agreed right away. Amelia is the only other person I know who's staying in the house right now, and I don’t want to ask her any favors.
It was already 3 PM when we were finally done with all the work. I stretched my back as I stood up, preparing to leave.
