Chapter 7 When An Omega Fights Back

(Nikita's P.O.V.)

A week has passed since I joined the Blue Moon Pack's training program. When my mate Trojan announced the program, I honestly had expectations within me; it was truly a great program; no one in werewolf history had ever done this before.

The breeding population of werewolves is decreasing year by year; this is because many of them have a mate who is not in their pack. Just like my mate would surprisingly be alpha of the Blue Moon pack, if I had not attended Trojan's ordination ceremony, I would never have found my mate.

So Trojan's foresight is to be recognized and appreciated.

But with the good side of everything, there is inevitably a bad side as well. Unequal treatment due to rank is encountered in any community, and here is no exception.

I was an Omega, but I did not respond to the bullying with silence, which made mine stand out, and my locker was always full of surprises.

I stood in front of my locker, took a deep breath, and when I pulled open the door after carefully examining everything, I was surprised that there were no "surprises" today.

Last time, some smartypants thought that it would be such a funny prank to light firecrackers inside my locker.

Obviously, it burned everything inside. Do you know what's funnier? I was blamed for it.

On top of that, they also pull extreme pranks like stealing my undergarments and raising them in the sacred pole of the school. They thought it would be humiliating, but when I took my underwear off in front of them and put them on my jacket, they managed to shut up.

Why would wearing underwear be humiliating? I think she is no different than our jackets; she just serves to decorate our figures.

But I did it because I really didn't have another set of underwear to replace; they had burned the extra ones with firecrackers earlier, and I didn't have the money to buy another new one.

When I was sent to Blue Moon, my mother announced in the pack that no one would be allowed to help me, including with a monetary pick-me-up, and that she thought my stubbornness needed to be taught until I got down on my knees and begged for mercy.

But this was my chance to prove to myself that even without my mother's light, I could still survive here just fine.

I checked my class schedule; it was almost time for biology class. I came out into the hallway and found myself once again the center of attention.

"That's her, right? She looks awful. Didn't they say she was the daughter of an alpha? Why is she so shabby? That must be what a girl abandoned by her mother looks like."

I heard one girl say to her friend that words have become habitual for me compared to their direct actions, and that doesn't hurt me.

"Look at that disgusting scar on her arm. Supposedly, that's what her mother beat her with. the daughter of an alpha? It's just a useless omega that was abandoned."

I deliberately showed the scar, a medal for fighting for my rights, and I didn't think it was ugly. I didn't even bother to look at these gossipy girls.

"What a pity! I feel bad about the clothes she's wearing. They looked like they'd been in her dark closet for years now and are asking for retirement. Hahaha!"

They are continuing. There's no point in confronting them. I don't want to waste my time on people who know nothing, but I do want to look down on people who are much lower in rank than them. Telling them to stop will not make them stop anyway. I'm trying to be the bigger person here by just ignoring them. These kids will soon realize that what they're doing to others reflects who they are.

I pretended not to hear them and just went on with my day like usual.

"I'm sorry... I should have tried harder at the match with Alpha Lucia," Tala sadly said inside my mind. I smiled, shaking off her thoughts.

It's not true that she didn't do her best. I know that she did. It's just true that we were both no match against Alpha Lucia. She's more powerful than both of us combined. We can never win... for now.

"It's not your fault, Tala. Stop thinking about it. It's just the first time, and nobody is already so strong their first time. We'll get better if we just work harder together," I assured her.

I was in the middle of comforting my wolf when a tall girl suddenly showed up from the side and bumped me, causing me to drop my class schedule on the floor.

I recognized her; she was one of Clara's bitch but I couldn't remember her name.

Clara, the daughter of the former beta of Blue Moon, says they like to bully others to win respect. But today I was surprised she wasn't with Clara. I was in a hurry to get to class, so I didn't care if I apologized.

Why can't Trojan, as the new alpha, see this? How can he allow such injustice in his school?

She saw my silence, and the grin on her face became even eviler.

Her eyes landed on the paper on the floor. I saw how her lips smirked when she realized that I had an Omega schedule.

She gazed at me. "Oh! I'm sorry for dropping your OMEGA schedule," she said in an louder tone. I looked at her. She's obviously doing it on purpose.

Everyone gets to study like everybody else in this program. But I can't say that they have the fairest system here. For efficient teaching and learning., the curriculum is divided in a traditional way.

Alphas get to have the highest level of management and combat classes. They're the priority of the program, which is apparently the same as other programs.

Betas are the second priority. They learn tactics and strategies.

On the other hand, omegas are the least priority. We're the least educated, with only one hour of training per week. We don't get to have the privileges that Alphas and Betas have. The program mainly teaches the Omegas how to better breed their offspring, which I find very discriminating as an Omega.

I know that I can be more than just a breeding machine. Just the thought itself is making my blood boil in anger.

But like my mother said, only when you become strong can you have the power to change this injustice.

So I wasn't going to continue to put up with her ridicule.

"Apologize, for your behavior." I looked straight at her.

"Excuse me? Did I hear you right?" She laughed even louder.

The crowd let out a louder jeer at her voice. "She must be crazy; how dare she oppose Clara's friends, I heard Clara is Alpha Trojan's mate."

What? Trojan's mate, when did this happen? But my thoughts were rudely interrupted.

"Hey, are you ignoring me?" She picked up my class schedule and threw it in my face.

I felt the sting in my face. Well, some people just like to touch the tiger's tail. "Give it back to me." I reiterated as Tala surfaced in my face.

"An omega wolf? Do you think I'm scared? Back off!" She snarled at Tala. "Before I yank your head off with my claws."

"How refreshing! It's the first time I've seen Omega's class schedule! Let me see... "Hahahahaha, it seems Omegas only learn things to know how to serve us better, don't you think so, Miss Omega?" She continued to taunt.

My fists turned into a ball.

"Oh, yeah? Should I try giving you 'service' now?" My eyes turned red as I spoke. My paws reached out.

"Her eyes?  A flame?"  I heard the shock of those around me.

"I heard that this is the shape that only the highest-ranked wolves take, but she's an omega!"

As I was about to put my paw on Cora's neck, I clearly saw the fear in her eyes. "You ...... you" Cora's expression was not as arrogant as before. She pointed at me and said tremblingly.
