Aiden's POV

I stared at the little boy for the umpteenth time and I could conclude that he wasn't mine. But why did the test results say that I was his father?

I've got to find a way to keep this secret hidden. Jace could have paid the doctors to change the test results, or something strange must have happened.

Amara could threaten me because she knew one of my darkest secrets, and was ready to expose it the moment I didn't respond to her threats.

I was going to walk out on her and probably visit a fancy clubhouse to get these sorrowful thoughts out of my mind when I heard a loud thud on the floor. Out of curiosity, I turned around to check what just happened.

And there he stood—Jace, with his hands dipped in his pocket and his lips widening to a smile. Amara had told him the truth. And he would do his best to ensure this one gets public.

I stepped back, fear filling my mind as I tried hard to steady my breathing. This couldn't be true. Jace couldn't be here.
