Victor and Lisa looked at their shocked expression and hoped desperately that she screwed up terribly.
“When did you…” Zack asked, speechless.
“I saw it on your side desk and, well, it inspired me to make the flower goddess.” She told him.
Alan was just quiet. She felt a bit scared that she might’ve done something she shouldn’t have.
“It doesn’t have to be in the game. I just drew her because she looked really beautiful and from what Zack told me, she sounded like a wonderful person, like a goddess as beautiful and colorful as the flowers in full spring.” Lillian told them how she really felt.
It brought tears into Alan’s eyes, which made Lillian panic a little.
Zack came home and told his dad what he saw. “I told you we shouldn’t let her go. They didn’t come here for her out of guilt. They came here because they were scared of you.” Zack told him. “Look son, I knew.” Alan told him. “You knew, and you still sent her away?” Zack looked at him, pissed. “It was her choice.” Alan told him. “Well, she sure is regretting it now.” Zack said, looking away with his hands on his hips. “She made her choice, Zack. And I’m sure she has a plan of her own.” Alan told him. “And that is to get bullied by her parents?” he asked sarcastically.
He was just a few centimeters away from her lips when she brought her finger in between and pushed him away. “We’re not a real couple and nice try, Zack.” she told him, moving away. “Oh, shoot.” He said, pretending like he was just joking around when he felt a bit hurt on the inside. “You should leave. It’s really late. Your dad could be worried about you.” she told him. “Oh, he knows.” He told her, getting up. She looked at him, surprised. “Your dad is really laid back, huh?” she asked him. “You don’t know half of it.” he told her. “See you tomorrow.”
She went to school after work. When she got there, she saw Zack standing by the gate, waiting for her. She ran up to him with a smile. “Morning.” she told him. “Morning munchkin.” He told her with a smile and patted her head. She threw him a weird look as he put his arm around her shoulders. “What is up with you these days? Jeez.” she said, looking at him with a frown. “What do you mean?” he asked her, pretending to not know what she was saying. They walked to class together. “It’s like you’re possessed by a flirting gh
Zack was outside, wandering around. He would always get bored whenever Lillian wouldn’t be with him. He stopped by a bridge and looked at the water in boredom. His phone buzzed in his pocket. He took it out and saw that he got a message from an unknown number. He opened it and saw Lillian in a restaurant with a guy and he was caressing her face. His hand curled into a tight fist, and then he received the location of the place. He ran to the place. He reached there in a few minutes and saw Lillian having dinner with the guy. Zack went inside and sat down at the table behind her. She didn’t see him because her back was facing him. He eavesdropped on their conversation.
After walking for three minutes, Zack regretted what he said to her. “Damn it, you idiot.” he told himself and ran in Lillian’s direction. He found her sitting on the pathway crying silently and sighed in regret. He slowly walked up to her and sat beside her. She sniffed and looked away, wiping her tears with the back of her hand. He grabbed her shoulder, but she slapped his hand away. He sighed and looked down. “I’m really sorry. I didn’t mean what I said. I was just angry.” he explained. “People say a lot of true things in anger.” She told him, looking ahead of her. “I’m not
Days passed by and her parents didn’t try to do any more things to her. Her days went by peacefully, which she was glad for.Her contest was only a day away, which made her quite nervous. Alan invited her parents to give Zack and Lillian some confidence boost, but it was mostly for Lillian since Zack was not nervous at all for the contest.Lillian was already at their house and was revising what she learned once more with Zack before her parents and Aurora arrived. They were called for dinner.Lillian saw that Aurora was wearing a dress that revealed her cleavage very well. She was beaming at Zack, and he was fully ignoring her.“You have an admirer.” Lillian teased him in a low tone.
“I have been patient with you and your bitchy attitude for long enough! But this is too much!” Alan snapped at Aurora. “Lillian can never be compared to you because you have no respect for anyone.” he looked at Lisa and Victor. “And you, too, are to blame for her shitty and spoiled attitude.” He looked back at Aurora. “And you would never become my daughter-in-law even if Zack begged me to. I am not letting anyone like you join my family only to ruin it!”He made himself clear.Aurora stormed out of the room, and Lisa ran after her.Alan glared at Victor.“Never bring that brat in my house again.” he told him.He then lifted
The next morning, Lillian woke up early and got ready. She was glad that she had left a pair of dresses from the last time she stayed here. She was feeling even more nervous now that today was D-day. Alan dropped them both at the school and then Mr. Owen took them to the place where the contest was being held. When they got there, they saw a lot of different students from the elite school and this made her even more anxious. Zack noticed that. “You kid look around for a while, since we’re half an hour early. In the meantime, I’ll get both of your names entered.” he told them and went away. Zack bumped into her shoulder with his, which
