22. This is not how I wanted to tell you

It was her third day at the hospital. She and Zack didn’t talk about that thing again because Zack knew she would give him an answer when she was ready and Lillian still hadn’t decided yet. Though they were a bit awkward with each other, they mostly talked with each other like they usually used to. They were both precious to each other in their own ways and didn’t want to lose one another.

In the time she spent with him, she realised how nice he always had been to her and she couldn’t believe that she didn’t realize his feelings for her sooner.

Zack gave her phone back the day before yesterday. He found it in her car. Alan was at work and gave them both time off. He would visit them after work and then go back to home.
