42. The truth about me

Lillian was very interested in the witch kind and was listening to Olivia with interest.

“Okay. So, has anyone ever broken the blood oath?” she asked her.

“Some, yes. When it was first introduced.” Olivia told her. “The blood oath is very scary, and I think that is one of the reasons why no one would dare to break it. But there are not a lot of blood oaths made in the first place. It is only used for really important things. Like for keeping peace etc. but can use it for personal use too if we want. There’s no law against that.” Olivia told her.

She nodded understandingly.

“But why are you protecting me?” I mean, I’m not related to you or anything? Am I? She asked her.” she asked her.

Olivia sighed.

“There are some things that are better unsaid. Your mother wanted you to live a normal life.” Olivia told her.

“But then, why do I need protection? Why me?” she asked her in a frustrated tone.

“I’m sorry. I can’t tell.” Olivia told her.
