20. The Prophecy and the Curse
They left the underground library an hour ago and all of them had showered to rid of the dust and grime from their impromptu exploration. While Annabelle had changed into a clean outfit, the boys chose to lounge in their boxers while their clothes went into the washer-dryer.
And now Annabelle is in the kitchen, surrounded by four half-naked men with washboard abs and a wolf. Gotta love the shapeshifter's uninhibited culture.
They were seated at the breakfast nook, eating McDonald's burger and fries and slurping on ice-cold drinks. The conversation began with the boys discussing about the Wiccan Kingdom's family tree that they had just seen in the underground library. One topic moved to another and they are now talking about Nari, which according to Roman, should be the next in line for the throne.

I woke up the next morning groggy and grumpy. To be honest, I barely slept at all, having conversed almost the whole night with Romeo in my dream state and now I'm paying for it by waking up late. My alarm chimed, telling me it's almost noon and in less than an hour, I am to meet Stephen in town. Roman had asked me to drive Chucky to the packhouse, so I decided not to explain to Chucky that I'm going to be meeting Stephen. My right hand automatically flew up to massage my throbbing temple and I almost shrieked in surprise when I realized that I have regained control of my body.
