22. A Third Encounter with Romeo

"How was it? What did she say?" Nari asks excitedly after Stephen had disconnected the call. She was seated right next to him when he made the call, having been the one that encouraged him to call Annabelle.
His face was pale, a sheen of cold sweat glistening on his forehead, his fingers cold and trembling. Despite his nervous expression, his eyes shone brilliantly with hope, for Annabelle had agreed to meet him tomorrow.
The poor guy was unsure whether he should call Annabelle and has been indecisive for days. What he didn't know was that Nari can be very persuasive. She casted a confidence spell on him and it finally gave Stephen the push to call his ex-girlfriend. Tomorrow the two of them will be meeting up in Bayswater town.
"I can't spoil this chance, Nari." He muttered, shaking his head.

"Let's go, everyone. Alaia has dropped her at Bayswater Beach." Roman slipped his cellphone into the back pocket of his jeans as he swiftly rose from the sofa, motioning Arch, Trav, Jughead, and Romeo to follow him out the packhouse's front door. Surprisingly, Annabelle was discharged the very next day. When she woke up that morning, her blisters were gone, leaving tiny scabs and pink scars which would be gone within a day or two.
