Chapter 2: Pleasure to meet you, My Luna.

Blaze's POV

"Blaze, if you can't find your Luna, then we need to find somebody new for an alpha," Keahi snarled.

Finding a luna was tough. Being with someone I don't love is not something I want. Agni, who consented to arrange marriages, was not me.

"I will find my Luna, just give me more time," I responded.

"Time? It's been three years! Just marry Brigid, goddamn it!" Keahi yelled.

"I can't, Keahi.. you know she's more like a sister for me," I said.

Keahi tried to persuade me to marry his sister by saying, "Oh C'mon, she's a perfect match for you, Blaze."

I wanted to take charge of the group right away, but I was unable to do so because I didn't want to wed Brigid. She appeared to be like a younger sister to me. We shared an upbringing. If we ended up dating, it would be awkward to say the least.

I completed the conversation with Keahi and left the mansion for a bit, saying, "I can't. I'm sorry, I'll just go for a walk." I must take a breath.

I went to the city. Many wolves were camped out here. I understood that we had been hiding for several years. I just don't understand why werewolves and humans couldn't coexist in harmony.

Tom said, "Hey Blaze, what's up?"

"Good, one margarita please," I replied.

He said, "Okay, coming right up!"

Tom was a member of our pack. Here in Texas, he ran a restaurant and bar. Our hangout spot at his bar was safe. He makes excellent beverages, and you might see some wolves socializing with foolish mortals. Some of whom might be pretending to be human themselves.

Tom placed the margarita beside me. I drank it in hardly any time at all. "Vodka, please," I remarked as I set the glass down.

Tonight, I really need a drink. Keahi and I must not quarrel for much longer.

Tom handed me the vodka glass and asked, "So, have you found your luna already?"

"Not yet. Keahi was even mad at me not having to find a girlfriend or a fucking Luna," I replied.

"Blaze, three years had passed since Agni's passing, so I can see why," Tom answered bemusedly.

"I just don't understand why it should be me," I don't desire leadership. Being an alpha comes with a lot of responsibilities.

"Agni wants you to be Blaze, he wants someone who is as responsible as him and it is you," Tom remarked.

I stated, "I wish he was still alive."

The music was getting louder and more people were coming in as the night became darker while I was still at the bar. I was also feeling lightheaded as a result of my alcohol consumption.

Someone grabbed me and pulled me to the dance floor just as I was going to stand up and head home.

The girl exclaimed, "Hey! Dance with me," and then she put her arms around my neck.

I refused to dance with her and unwrapped her hands, "I'm sorry, but I need to go."

She yelled, "Excuse me?!"

I could smell her. It had a recognizable smell. Exactly like a young girl I met three years ago in terms of aroma. I was astonished to see that the scar I had left on her neck was still there when I turned her around to check it. I took her by the hands and left the bar.

She tried to take her hands off, "Hey! what the fuck? What are you doing?"

"Where did you get that scar?"

She responded, perplexed, "Scar? What scar?" Then she clasped her neck with her hands.

I shouted at her, "Don't bullshit me, I'm asking about that scar on your neck." If it was her, I wanted to make sure.

"Okay! Okay! Don't raise your voice! a guy helped me years ago when I was lost in the woods, and I got it," she reminisced.

"Do you remember his face?"

"No, it was vivid and dark, so I wasn't sure about his face,"

"Oh fair enough,"

'But how could she forget this handsome face, right Fernis?' I asked to my wolf.

'Oh God, here he goes again, If I were her, I would forget you immediately,' Is my wolf disagreeing with me?

And then she pointed out, "Blaze, it was his name. I still remember it."

Oh, so she still remembers me, how fascinating that was. She was the one I had been waiting for, and I knew this day would arrive. Here in front of me was the woman I would wed.

I muttered, "You still remember, cool"

"What did you say?"

Oh my, I didn't ask her name.

"Nothing, er... What is your name again?"

"Summer.... Summer Hudson," she murmured before extending her hand.

I greeted her with "Pleasure to meet you, my Luna," I kissed her hand and it was so soft and pale, as if there weren't any blood clots on it.

"Wow.. Your attitude has changed, huh? You were yelling at me earlier." she flashed a smile at me. It was the most beautiful smile I had seen, I felt that my wolf was attracted to her too.

"Summer! gosh!" A voice of a girl echoed, I guess it was her friend coming up to us and saying, "we're looking for you everywhere."

Summer commenced, "Sam, I'm sorry he dragged me ----," but I didn't wait for her to continue and I sprinted out of the forests.

We never know if one of her friends might be one of the wolves' hunters, therefore I didn't want her pals to see me.

When I reached the mansion, Keahi was already there, sitting on the sofa and staring me down with a deadly glare. He raced over to me and grabbed me by the collar, demonstrating his short-tempered nature once more.

I beg, "Please, I'm tired."

"You've been drinking all day, Tom told me. Does that help you? Huh!" he yelled.

"What if I told you that it is?" I answered.

"Are you genuinely interested in this pack?" How dare he question my sincerity about this tribe?

"Naturally, I did. I was actually about to tell you something, but whatever." I took his arm out from under my collar and prepared to go upstairs when he said, "Let's talk about her another time."

"Her?" Keahi perplexed, questioned.

"Yeah, I found her, my Luna," and made my way to my chamber while grinning brightly.

I simply need to figure out how to get close to her; she seems like a hard-headed girl, so you can stop pestering me, brother.
