Dina's POV
If memory served me right, he hadn’t hit Josh, so he must have gotten those before he rescued me.
“You need some ice for that?” I offered while wondering what had happened. Without waiting for an answer, I took the towel and icebag out of his hand, and as carefully as I could, I wrapped it around his hand.
“It’ll heal,” he gruffly grunted and tried to shake me off. Mentally, I rolled my eyes at him.
"Hold still, you big baby," I huffed and grabbed his hand again, carefully avoiding putting too much pressure on it. This time he let me, despite the displeased growl that made his chest vibrate.
“What happened?” I asked to distract him. I reached for the other hand and carefully gave it the same treatment I'd given the other one. I knew he'd heal in no time, but there was no need for him to be in pain while it happened.
Macho alpha bullshit...

3 months later...Dina’s POVDina!Hearing Levi through the link wasn’t that unusual anymore. I called him lazy for not wanting to pick up his phone and just call me, but he called it "being practical".I stopped painting and wondered what was wrong. As I said, he used it all the time, so there was no need for me to worry. But hearing him laughing that hard---?That was something entirely new!Levi? I replied, putting the pencil down. Is everything OK?I’d started painting the upstairs, but because Levi refused to let me climb a ladder in my condition – and because I was still clumsy as hell – it now looked like a circus house, with only the bottom half done.Levi wanted to keep the stick figures I’d drawn over the patches. It wasn’t a reminder of his gruesome temper anymore, he said, but a symbol of how anything brok
Dian’s POVI was home!Apparently, Michael had mind-linked Levi once he woke up, telling him, he had a clean shot at Lucian’s head. No one paid attention to him, because Lucian had everyone’s attention on us. It was a risky plan, but I had to admit...Masterly executed!Once Levi and I were alone, I finally got to burn off whatever stupid drug Lucian had injected me with. And judging by the smug expression on Levi’s face, I suspected that he was right about to regret killing the vampire master before getting a name for the thing. We’d been at it for two days straight before my heat finally subsided...“It was probably something that kickstarted your heat,” Levi mumbled into the crouch of my neck, rubbing my sore back. I mumbled something incoherent in response, just enjoying the presence of my mate. The moonlight flooded the room and suddenly my mate shifted in the

Seeing my mate step forward from the crowd, I felt a ripple of relief soar through my body. He was mostly covered in blood, as he, unlike the rest of the warriors, didn’t resort to guns or weapons. But who needs weapons, when your entire body is your weapon?Strangely, my wolf purred in admiration seeing him like this. Had the situation not been so dire, I would have agreed with her. But the second the vampire found what he was looking for, he gripped me tighter, making me yelp in pain. Levi stopped dead in his tracks, as the King used me as a human shield.“You clearly need a refreshment course in negotiations, my friend,” the king replied calmly, an
This chapter includes violence – you have been warned!Levi’s POVAbout two hours – and a crashed blood fest – later, I was standing by the beaten drug lord inside the vampire fortress.I was inside Sin City!It was after hours, so it was deserted. My wolf hated having to walk behind this piece of shit, but if it meant getting Dina back, I didn’t care about his hurt-ass feelings. The only thing I currently hated just as much as my wolf, was the collar I had to wear. It was something vampires used for their “pets”. Or as we liked to call them: “walking lunch boxes”.I swallowed and tried to keep my itching fingers from pulling it off. It had to be gray, with a hint of silver. Enough to fool the receptionist, but not enough to weaken my wolf. It hu
This chapter includes violence – you have been warned!Several hours earlierLevi’s POVThe plan was rather simple:Find Dina!Kick Mick in the balls!Kill anything else! The tracker recovered their scent in the city and located the building that the vampires used as their clan. It was a typical vampire fortress. A skyscraper office/apartment building with a lot of human employees – easy lunch. But it went just as deep underground as the top floors.I surveyed the building with a couple of my top warriors, who, in human terms, would be my generals. We were discussing the attack. They were trained for situations like this, so this was nothing more than a walk in the park for them. Until one of them pointed out an obvious problem.“You can’t get in, unless you’re a vampire, Alpha,” he said. I wat
This chapter includes scenes of sexual assultDina's POVI asked, confused at first. I looked up and saw the vampire glancing down at me, a sinister smile creeping across his features.Mother fuc---!“YOU KILLED HIM!!!”I launched for him -aiming to rip out his throat. But he easily anticipated the move, catching me. With strong hands, he gripped my arms, pinning them against my back, and walked me back up against the wall. I screamed. Anger and pain coursed through my body. But the worst part?My heat was reacting to the male touching my body. The warmth and sensation from his touch dulled the pain in my core, making it hungry for more…“Yes,” he simply hissed close to my ear. His hot breath sent shivers down my spine. “And I will kill your precious alpha just as easily if you don’t start to cooperate!&rdquo
This chapter includes scenes of sexual assaultDina’s POVThe Vampire King and Dylan were gone. It was just me and Michael left in the darkness.“Are you a Dire Wolf?” Michael questioned suddenly, eyeing me carefully.“No,” I answered truthfully. Or at least I think it was---? “I don't think so,” I confessed, not really knowing what to think anymore. “My wolf is amazing and all, but pretty average--- I think.”“You think?” Michael echoed, confused.“She was bigger than Dylan’s wolf when I shifted,” I explained. “And really strong too. Dylan hated it, so after our parents died, he forbade me to ever shift in front of anybody. I guess it’s been a while since I could compare her to anyone else.”“How big are we talking?” Michael continued, now clearly interested. I rolled my
Dina's POVMy heart dropped and my blood ran cold.“Please tell me you’re talking about Las Vegas and not the actual Sin City,” I questioned, feeling a cold shiver creep down my spine. But the genuine fear on his expression said it all.Well, shit!“What would The Vampire King want with us?" I asked, feeling dread slowly creep up my spine. A wolf never wanted to take on a vampire alone and I definitely didn't want to take on a vampire while my wolf was MIA. Sure, a werewolf was stronger than a vampire, but they still had speed and agility on their side.Qualities that were handy in a fight...Only an alpha could ever face a vampire alone and match its speed, but Levi had been the only wolf I'd ever heard of that could take on several of them alone. But then again, Levi's wolf was Bloodlustled and was probably in a deadly league of his own."You don't suppose he'd into burned p
Dina's POVThis had to be some kind of joke, right? Why would anybody want to kidnap me? I was--- well, me! I was as interesting as a sack of potatoes! Hell, I still couldn’t fully wrap my head around what the hell Levi saw in me, but---“You can’t be that surprised,” Michael rolled his eyes at me, unable to believe how incredibly gullible I was. “This isn’t exactly the first time they’ve tried to kidnap you.”Ok, true! But that was because of Dylan, right? Levi said that--- Oh, wait! We never actually finished that conversation…“But-but---,” I stuttered, still trying to wrap my mind around it. “Why?!”“That’s what we’ve been trying to figure out for months now!” Michael groaned. “Why are you the target?”“I-I don’t---,” I began but
