Worse, Elara soon discovers that the weakness she has suffered for years was never natural. Her husband has been secretly poisoning her food, slowly destroying her wolf for one purpose: to make sure she could never fight back. Then the cousin who stole her marriage begins revealing secrets of her own, and Elara realizes the betrayal reaches far beyond her husband. Her entire life has been built on lies. And the three Alpha bikers who took her in may be the only men capable of helping her tear those lies apart.

Chapter 1

Only the triplet Alphas can save you

ELARA VOSS

"If you don't take your medicine tonight, Elara, you know your wolf will make you pass out again," Damian said, setting a glass of water and two white pills on the table as he stared at me with a worried expression on his face.

I looked at the pills, feeling that familiar wave of weakness in my body. My wolf made a low, tired whimper deep in my chest, so faint I could barely feel it.

For as long as I could remember, my wolf had been weak and sickly, and I depended entirely on Damian to take care of me.

"I know," I said softly, reaching out to pick up the pills. "Thank you, Damian."

"I have to go back to the club office tonight," he said, not even looking at me as he straightened his suit jacket. "Don't wait for me."

He walked out the front door without kissing me goodbye or asking how I felt. I stood alone in the kitchen, staring at the medicine in my hand.

Then I looked over at the small white gift box sitting on the dining table. Inside that box was a positive pregnancy test.

I had taken the test two hours ago, and when those two pink lines appeared, I cried tears of real joy. We had been married for three years, and I was happy thinking about how the baby will bring us together.

I spent the whole afternoon cooking his favorite dinner, hoping we could celebrate, but he was leaving anyway.

I swallowed the pills with the water, set the glass down, and picked up the gift box.

"I can just drive to the club and give it to him there," I whispered to myself.

My body felt exhausted like it always did in the evenings, but the excitement in my chest pushed me forward. I grabbed my car keys, walked out to my car, and drove down the road toward the motorcycle club.

When I arrived at the Blackridge club house, the parking lot was full of motorcycles and cars. I pulled my jacket tight around myself, holding the small box against my stomach as I walked inside.

The main room was loud, full of club members drinking and talking at the bar. But as soon as I walked through the door, a few men turned to look at me, and the noise suddenly died down.

I felt uncomfortable under their eyes, but I kept walking. I was used to the club members looking at me with pity or ignoring me because of my weak wolf. I walked straight past the bar and headed down the quiet hallway toward Damian’s private office at the back.

The door was slightly open. I smiled, stepping closer to the door, ready to surprise him.

"Damian, I brought…"

The words stuck in my throat.

Damian was sitting on the couch inside the office, his shirt half-unbuttoned. My cousin, Brielle, was sitting directly on his lap. Her red hair was messy, her dress was unzipped down her back, and her arms were wrapped tightly around his neck.

Damian had his hands on her waist, kissing her neck while she let out a quiet giggle.

My breath hitched, and the small gift box slid from my fingers, hitting the floor with a soft thud.

Brielle gasped and pulled back, looking toward the door. When her green eyes locked to mine, she did not look ashamed at all. She slowly stood up, pulling her dress up over her shoulders, and offered me a small smirk before turning toward the mirror to fix her hair.

Damian froze for a second, then slowly stood up from the couch. He buttoned his shirt with calm fingers, his brown eyes cold and completely unbothered.

"Elara," Damian said, his voice flat. "What are you doing here?"

I stared at him, my heart beating so hard that I felt so much pain.

"What am I doing here? Damian... she is my cousin. What is she doing on your lap?"

"You shouldn't have come here without calling me first," Damian said, taking a step toward me. "Your health is bad, and you know you get confused and dramatic when you are tired. Go back to the house."

Tears spilled over my eyes and ran down my cheeks. "I'm not confused! I saw you, Damian! How long has this been going on?"

Damian let out a sharp sigh, looking irritated rather than sorry. "Don't yell, Elara. You are making a scene over nothing. Go home, take your rest, and we will discuss this in the morning."

I looked down at the floor and saw the gift box lying near his shoes. The lid had popped off, revealing the small test strip inside.

Damian looked down at it too. His eyes narrowed slightly as he read the result, but his face did not soften. Instead, he looked up at me with an even colder expression.

"You're pregnant?" he asked.

"Don't touch me," I sobbed, stepping backward outside as he reached out his hand. "Don't ever touch me again!"

I turned around and ran out as fast as my weak legs could take me.

As I burst into the main room, I saw three club members standing near the door, holding beer bottles. None of them looked surprised to see me crying. One man looked away in shame, while the other two just took another drink from their bottles.

They knew. Everyone in his club had known about him and Brielle, and nobody had ever said a word to me.

I ran out into the cool night air, collapsed into the driver's seat of my car, and slammed the door shut. I buried my face in my hands and wept until my chest burned. My wolf made a painful, whimpering sound inside me, completely overwhelmed by the distress.

I wiped my eyes with the back of my hand and started the engine. I couldn't stay in that house with him anymore. I needed to get away before he came back.

I drove straight back to our house, ran inside, and pulled a small suitcase out of the bedroom closet. My hands shook violently as I threw random shirts, pants, and my papers into the bag.

While I packed, I grabbed my phone off the bed and called my older brother, Louis.

He picked up after two rings. "Elara? What's wrong? Why are you calling so late?"

"Louis..." I sobbed, unable to hold it in anymore. "I caught Damian. He's sleeping with Brielle."

"He's what?" Louis's voice instantly changed, turning cold and dangerous. "Elara, are you sure?"

"I saw them at the club with my own eyes," I cried out, pulling the zipper on my bag. "And Louis... I'm pregnant. I found out today."

Louis swore loudly over the phone, and I heard the sound of a chair crashing to the floor on his end. "Where are you right now?"

"I'm at the house, packing my bag," I said, wiping my nose. "I'm going to drive to your place."

"No, do not drive anywhere," Louis ordered in a firm tone. "I am out of town near Eldermere handling pack business, and I won't get back for a few hours. If Damian realizes you are leaving him, he will come back to the house and stop you. You are too tired to fight him, Elara."

"Then what should I do?" I asked, fresh panic rising in my chest.

"Stay right where you are and lock all the doors," Louis said quickly. "I am calling the Blackwood brothers right now. They are in Blackridge, and they will come get you."

My heart skipped a beat.

"The Blackwoods? Louis, no... they don't even like me. They always ignore me when I'm around."

"They will protect you," Louis said firmly. "I trust Ronan, Jace, and Kieran with my life, and they will keep you safe until I get there. Lock the door and wait for them."
