Xavier’s POV

I watch her face and every slight twitching movement she makes. Sweat beads form on her forehead, gliding down her face like melting glaciers. I’m not the only one watching; the entire crowd has its gaze glued on her. I can tell we all have the same question in mind.

Guilty or not?

Dr Winter’s POVJust like that, everyone leaves. I barely get a second glance at the press before they’re out of the door.A guard rushes to me with keys dangling in his hand. He uncuffs my hands and my feet without uttering a word. He looks me dead in the eyes and then bows a little. “You’re free, ma.”Respect! So easily given and stripped off according to whatever their Alpha grants. This is why I detest the West.I was once a victim to WestMoon’s temporal love and respect, and with a snap of fingers, it poofed into thin air like it never existed.“An SUV has been arranged to drive you back to the packhouse,” he says with a perfectly practiced smile. “A welcome-back feast will be held on your behalf.”It’s almost laughable how ill this society is. If not for the disgust churning in my stomach, I’d have laughed in his face.“Excuse me, I’ll like to visit the restroom first.”He steps aside and bows. “Of course, ma. I’ll be waiting just outside with the driver.”It feels liberating to

Xavier’s POVI watch her face and every slight twitching movement she makes. Sweat beads form on her forehead, gliding down her face like melting glaciers. I’m not the only one watching; the entire crowd has its gaze glued on her. I can tell we all have the same question in mind. Guilty or not?“You're a liar.” Father says casually as he takes slow strides across the empty space in front of Winter. “A pathological one at that.”She shifts in her chair, her facial tremors visible from this distance. “Why would I hurt her? I have nothing to gain.”“Even a blind man can tell you and the Luna aren't in good terms. According to what i’ve heard, you decline all meals given to you by the Luna. Only animosity can make one reject an act of kindness like that. Or is this claim wrong?”I had no idea my wife had even offered Winter anything. From my conversations with Jayda, I know she dislikes the doctor, and now I see why. “No.” Winter concedes. “But that doesn't mean I poisoned your Luna. I

  • The Alpha's Miracle Doctor   EPISODE 32

Xavier's POVThis must be the worst day of the Doctor’s life. Chained and surrounded by guards with half of WestMoon’s Elites gawking around, I’m certain this isn't what she planned for her first month in this pack. A hand touches mine, snapping my mind back to reality. “You're doing the right thing.” Jayda reassures me with a faint smile. My beautiful wife looks pale and weary. It saddens me to see her in such state, which brings my mind to a fixed thought; what if Dr Winter had actually poisoned Jayda? My eyes goes to meet her across the space. She's calm with a blank stare on her face, hands flaccid on her laps. She looks unbothered, a little hypnotized even. Apart from the incessant tapping of her left foot against the floor, there were no signs of anxiety in her. If she were guilty, she would be nervous definitely, but what if she's cold and manipulative, and just unremorseful for her crimes to even bother breaking a sweat? I sigh, returning my gaze to Jayda. “I know.” I giv

Jayda's POVI didn't sleep last night. Partly because of the gruesome experience of ingesting poison, but also because of the surprising excitement bubbling through me. While pain drove me crazy, the thoughts running through my mind were a natural anesthetic. The mind is truly powerful and has a way of distorting reality because tonight, which should have been an absolute nightmare, turned out to be the opposite. Sunlight spews into the room in dazzling colours, giving my room a golden glaze as the sun rises. It's morning already, and Xavier will be here any minute from now. Excitement gathers in my chest as I wait for his scent, but the clock keeps ticking, and my anxiety grows. He shouldn't have left me anyway. Who leaves his sick wife in the middle of the night? It's cruel and unfair, especially after I begged him to stay. I wonder what else warms him up at night better than me. A sour taste grows on my tongue as my excitement starts to dwindle. Maybe I should get a new hairsty

Kael's POVAt first, I thought the noise was coming from my toy helicopter. But then someone snorted loudly, followed by the creak of a chair, and I woke up fully.Mummy doesn't snore. Pushing away the blankets, I climb off the bed and tiptoe to the shut windows. It's dark inside but only a streak of sunlight streams in through a gap in the curtains. Sweat marrs my forehead as I stand with my back against the window. A slight tremor makes my teeth clatter together. Mummy doesn't believe this pack is safe, and as much as I want to have fun here, I don't also know what happened and how I got to the hospital. The person turns in the chair, groaning as his long legs stick out from the blanket. My suspicions are right, that's definitely a man’s leg: hairy and muscular. Probably a warrior gamma. The couch is too small to fit the big man and as he turns in his sleep, the couch creaks and then tilts. I hear a loud thud followed by curses spewing from the stranger. I should run but I'm to

  • The Alpha's Miracle Doctor   EPISODE 29

Dr Winter's POVI blame my parents. The window doesn't bulge as I try to force it shut. The storm has long died down, but the wind still carries an uncanny chill. “Damn,” I wince, dropping from the gap in the wall I had climbed to reach the cell's tiny window. Sticking my cut finger into the warmth of my mouth, I suck in hoping to stop the mild bleeding. The rusted metal framing the grimy window had torn my finger, and I'm less concerned about the bleeding but rather the high risk of getting tetanus. Retiring to the concrete floor, I sit with my legs folded and intertwined at my ankles. Like I said, I blame my parents for my messed up life. Maybe if mum left my dad after the many times he gambled away our houserent, or if Dad left mum after he found out about her secret affairs, I wouldn't be here today. But no, after each heated quarrel, curses, tears and ceramics flying across the kitchen they still stayed together. I used to think it was love. What a stupid kid. They traumatize

Dr. Winter’s POVDo you know that feeling where it seems like you're moving, but the ground is shifting under your feet? That's how I feel right now as I flounder across the dance hall, searching for Kael. The party is buzzing with life, and no one seems to pay attention to the lady who's losing he

  • The Alpha's Miracle Doctor   EPISODE 5

Xavier’s POVI’ve had awkward encounters in the past, but nothing beats this. I can't stop staring at Dr. Winter. My mind is trying to solve an inconceivable puzzle of how this lady can be so similar to my ex-wife and yet still so different. The party is coming to an end, and most people are eith

XAVIER's POV(Six Years Later)"We lost the baby."I close my eyes and take a deep breath. A weight drops on my heart, threatening to rip every fibre of muscles in my chest."Again?" Father exclaims, shooting up to his feet and rushing towards the doctor. He grabs the doctor by the collar and pushe

  • The Alpha's Miracle Doctor   EPISODE 3

RAINA’s POVI don’t know how long I ran. Hours? Days? A week, maybe? There is no way for me to account for time, as all I see around me are green leaves, moss on rocks, and the peeling bark of old trees. At first, I had heard whistles and dog barks, probably from the pack’s search party. It didn’t
