LORRAINE'S POV

Dinner went well. When I came back, I talked and laughed with everyone. The only thing that kept me on edge was the fact that Kylian's step mother stared a hole in my head. Cole kept looking at me from the side of the table as well. Apart from that, I had a whole lot of fun. After dinner, Oscar showed me my room. I was surprised when Kylian told me to spend the night at the palace. It sounded like he wanted to spend more time with me. The thought made me flattered. I didn't want to get too ahead of myself anyway. I wasn't sure if Kylian really liked me.

I laid in bed, staring at the ceiling. It was a beautiful space. It was adorned with art works on the wall and butterfly stickers. It had a huge cupboard filled with books, lush velvet chairs and a plush bed that felt like a cloud beneath me. Oscar told me they got it decorated just for me.
