Xander's POV

Since I got mated to Elise, there has been several letters to me. I had successfully ignored all of them, until they sent a threat last night. After rescuing Elise from Jason and her sister, Lilith, I had wanted to teach them a lesson they won't forget in a hurry.

But then, I received a threat from the Arc. They needed to see me or Elise would suffer the consequences. I wasn't afraid to defy them, but I also can't risk Elise's safety. It would be best to meet them and sort this out once and for all.

I left the pack afterwards, still reeling from jealousy. I think I need to teach Jason a lesson. I would have dispose him of his position without thinking twice. Unfortunately, I had made a vow to his father.

Jason's family had fought alongside my father, losing his life as a result. I owe his father that much. That was Jason's saving grace, if not, I wouldn't have thought twice before snapping his head off for humiliating Elise.
