I was touched by what he said. I know the responsibility of being an Alpha, and the fact that he chose me over that means so much to me.

But I also know that he shouldn’t be doing this. I’ve seen how his pack members respect him and how he treats them. Even Chloe admires him as an Alpha.

"Baby, I know it’s hard for you to accept the setup I can offer. But believe me, this is for your own safety, too."

He held my face gently, stroking my cheeks with his thumbs. It felt so good whenever our skin touched.
