Miranda POV

The next day.

I was so fucking hungover.

My head was pounding as I rolled to my side.

Last night, the Alpha’s words still echoed in my ears.

He wants to crown that Ace boy as the future Alpha.

He just said it.

Like it was nothing.

If that boy is crowned Alpha of the Golden Pack...

what’s left for me?

I remember when he used to tell me

I’d be crowned Luna one day.

That I’d rule with my future mate.

But now everything is different.

Last night I couldn’t stay.

I couldn’t watch them celebrate.

So I left.

They were all happy.

I felt nothing.

---

It was time for school.

I pushed the thoughts out of my head.

Shower. Dress. Go.

When I got to school, it was bustling.

More than usual.

Almost all the students were standing at the entrance gate.

That was strange.

They only do that when someone important is coming.

Like they were waiting for someone.

Who? I wondered.

Back then, before mum died,

I was the reason for crowds like this.

Now they don’t even care if I exist.

Curious, I waited to see who it was.

Not long after, the students screamed.

I looked over.

And saw him.

Ace.

That boy again.

He’s at my school.

He was the one they were waiting for.

Just yesterday we heard he’d start today.

And on his first day, he’s already getting this much attention.

The whole school was rushing to meet him.

Like they’d found their long-lost savior.

“What the heck,” I muttered.

Girls were crowding him like he was their idol.

I snorted and started walking away.

But then I heard it.

“Miranda!”

I turned. “Why are you calling me, bastard?”

His frown deepened.

Students nearby whispered.

I didn’t care.

He looked annoyed.

I didn’t care how he felt.

I don’t!

Who asked him to call me anyway?

He could’ve pretended he didn’t see me.

But no.

“Why do you have to be so rude all the time?” Ace said, voice tight.

I scoffed. “I don’t have breath to waste on a bastard like you.”

And walked away to my class.

---

I walked to the school cupboard.

Needed my notebooks.

I was searching when I felt someone beside me.

I thought it was Jerry.

But then I heard the voice I didn’t want to hear.

“I’m new here,” he said politely.

“Can you show me around?

Help me locate my class and know my way around?”

I was surprised he followed me here.

Wasn’t he supposed to be with the fans at the gate?

How did he even get past them?

I used to need guards just to walk into school.

Besides, why was he asking me?

What gave him the right?

I stared at him, frowning.

“I’m busy.

And even if I wasn’t, I wouldn’t help you.

So many students are following you like you’re their god.

Why didn’t you ask them?

You know I wouldn’t help you.

Or are you just looking for trouble?

Because I don’t understand what you want.”

I grabbed the books I needed and went to lock my locker.

That’s when I heard him.

“But you’re my sister,” he said with a smirk.

“It’s better I ask you than an outsider.”

Now I was sure he was looking for trouble.

“Sister?” I said, mocking him.

He nodded.

I chuckled. “Keep dreaming.

I can never relate to a bastard who isn’t even sure of his own origin.”

He frowned.

I didn’t give him a chance to reply.

I walked away.

After a while, I turned back.

He was still standing there.

Acting weird.

I turned to keep walking...

  • The Alpha's Real Heir   Epilogue

Five Years Later,The moon was full tonight. I stared at myself in the mirror and barely recognized the woman looking back. White dress. Silver Luna crown. The scar on my shoulder was covered by lace, but I could still feel it. Two years ago, a fight had broken out in Blossom Grey Pack and in the process I got hurt. Only to be rescued by Ace again. Life wasn't so peaceful after that day in the hospital, but we defeated every obstacle. And today... We are happy."Luna?" My maid knocked softly. "They’re waiting, Luna."Luna. The word still made my chest ache. Golden Blossom Pack. One pack. One Alpha couple. I took a deep breath and stepped outside. And there he was. Ace. Black suit. Golden eyes. The same jaw that used to clench when he hated me. Now it softened the second he saw me. The whole clearing went quiet. Two hundred wolves from both packs watched, but all I saw was him."You’re late," he murmured when I reached him, his voice rough. Only I could hear the tremb

Hours later. The hospital smelled like antiseptic and rain.Miranda’s hands shook as she pushed open the door to the hospital where Ace was admitted. Her father walked beside her, silent. Inside, Ace sat propped up in bed. Bandages around his ribs. Eyes tired, but sharp. And next to him, standing like a guard dog, was Alpha Brian. The room went still.Ace looked up. His gaze hit Miranda first, then Alpha Derrick. His jaw ticked. “I didn’t expect…” Ace said. He stuttered, voice low, surprise etched on his face. He stared at Miranda, different emotions running through him.His father cleared his throat. “Thanks... thanks for coming.” Miranda couldn’t speak. She just walked to the bed and took Ace’s hand. His fingers were warm. “How... are you feeling now?” she asked.Ace’s thumb brushed over her knuckles. “Wasn’t expecting you to come when my father said so. I thought he was playing pranks on me.” “I would have come earlier if only I was allowed to.” She replied. “Why did yo

The way the people worked on the farms and decorations. Everything looked so peaceful.I walked until the sun got too hot. Tired, I decided to rest under a big mango tree.  The breeze blew through my hair. “Oh,” I whispered to myself. “I’m enjoying this.”Not quite long,I he

All of it flashed across his eyes at once. “Ace.” he snapped, storming toward me. “What happened?!” He thought I had hurt Miranda. Nothing happens to her._  My guards were behind me, shouting my name.  I didn’t stop.  I skidded to a stop at the edge of the school compound.  Smoke was pouring from the basement windows. Firefighters were dragging hoses, yelling orders.  And I couldn’t feel her.  _Miranda._ I whispered it, like if I said her name loud enough the bond would answer.  Silence.  My worst fear.  I shifted back from my Wolf form, and my guards immediately threw me clothes.
