Chapter four

   CHAPTER FOUR 

She continues. "If you didn't want to have dinner with us,  why then did you come? I have  been watching you since and it is so obvious you are just here to look for trouble."

I smirked.

 These people seem to be forgetting so soon.

 Did they think I had forgiven them?

When my mum died it was this same Queen mother that order for her to not be giving a befitting burial saying she wasn't worth it, According to her statement she said my mum didn't help the pack in anyway nor did she  provide a male child for the Alpha that she doesn't deserve a grand burial. She was buried more like an ordinary person, like a curse they were trying to get rid off quickly.

There was no party, no expensive caskets, They just did her in the most sorrowful way ever.

  On a normal note a Luna burial was supposed to be a big feast. There was supposed to be food , drink and also people who would come to pay respect to her.

But it wasn't done like that, she wasn't even buried in the Royal tomb she was buried down the mountain side.

  They act like I don't exist that day throwing heartless words at her corpse.

   On that day there was no one who  performed  the ritual in a rightful  way.

 Their speech was always something bad about my mum.

  Soon  the dining table became quiet again.

 I bowed my head, chewing my food slowly.

 After quarrelling with those people I felt a little satisfied, I found joy whenever I see them restless.

 The only reason I hadn't left the table was because I wanted to hear what the Alpha wanted to say.

 

 

     ACE POV 

    The Alpha asked me to come down for dinner today, He said he had something important to announce.

 Not just me but the whole royal family.

  I came to the table and there  were only a few people there at that time.

  Soon they all started coming one after the other.

  Not quite long the Drama queen came, The first thing she did was shut me a look. I noticed her coming, that was why I bow my head down.

I noticed she was staring at me so I stared at her back.

Her gaze was so cold  like she wanted to swallow me and make me disappear from that  place immediately.

I know she doesn't like me and I don't like her either.

But does she always have to be so obvious whenever she sees me?

  The table was peaceful before she came but after she came it was the opposite.

 She kept creating scene upon scene.

I was so sure she wasn't here to eat.

 She rarely cone to the dining table but when she did  she always ended up causing everyone to be in a sore mood.

 I notice she likes doing that on purpose. It 's like she finds joy in other people's misfortune.

  At first I thought she was only acting that way because she lost her mum, but it has been three months now and she still keeps throwing tantrums.

 During the meal I noticed she was staring at everyone displeased. The person she was most displeased with was my  mum and I don't know why.

 My mum hasn't done anything wrong, All she did was have an illegitimate child for the Alpha.

 Was it a crime?

 The Alpha soon cleared his throat as if he wanted to say something.

 I notice Miranda raises her head from the food she had  been  eating, She seems curious in whatever the Alpha wanted to say.  

Maybe  that was why she came here in the first place,cus with the way she was chewing her food, it  didn't seem like she was hungry.

     

    

      

Soon the Alpha spoke.

“The reason I summoned everyone here today was because I wanted to make an announcement  which I'm sure some of you are aware of, while others aren’t.

  I wanted to announce to you all that  I will be crowning Prince Ace of Golden wolf pack as the next in line Alpha of the pack.

 He will be crowned on his birthday which is coming up next week and a grand celebration will be held for him on that day, The future Alpha will be turning 18 soon and then he will be able to shift into his wolf form and find his fated Mate."

  A round of applause followed suit at the Alpha words, Everyone  was clapping in excitement except for Marinda who seemed angry by the Alpha words.

All of a sudden there was a sound of glass smashing, which resounded through the whole room and guess what, Miranda was the one who smashed the glass.

 It looks like a mistake but it isn’t  she had purposely made the glass fall on the ground.

“Miranda, are you okay?” Alpha Brian asked, his voice laced with concern.

She didn’t  reply, just stood up and walked away.

 I stared at her plate of food which was still filled with food she hadn’t  eaten much of.

Don’t  get me wrong not that I care though I just …. Arrghh  I don’t  know.

Why was I even concerned about that brat?
