Miranda POV

Halfway through the meal, she came in.

The hypocrite.

The last person I wished to see.

She was breathing so fast.

Like she’d just run a marathon.

Everyone’s attention turned to her.

Wondering why she was running.

The first to ask was Alpha Brian.

“Rose, why were you running?”

Rose chuckled. “I ran all the way here because I heard the Alpha invited all royal members for dinner.”

I stared at her in mockery.

Giving her the confidence to think she was part of the royal family.

Even if she had a child for the Alpha,

how did that make her royal?

I snorted. “The Alpha called every _royal_ member.

What does that have to do with you?

And since when did you become one of us?”

She frowned. Clearly annoyed.

But who was she anyway?

Just some lowlife beggar from the street.

“I’m Ace’s mother,” she said proudly.

“So as Ace’s mother, I have every right to be here.”

That got me irritated.

“Was Ace the one who called this gathering?” I shot back.

“Just because you brought a grown boy from god-knows-where,

claiming he’s the Alpha’s son,

doesn’t make you royal.

You’re completely shameless.”

I caught Ace staring at me.

Fierce gaze.

I didn’t flinch.

The whole table was watching us.

Ruining their appetite.

But I was enjoying the show.

Rose turned to the Alpha.

“Alpha, do you see what she did?

She’s insulting me.”

Her voice dripped with fake sadness.

Alpha Brian sighed. “Miranda, I was the one who called her.

So she could join us for dinner.”

I raised my eyebrows. “Since when did we start inviting dogs to dine with us?”

“Miranda, don’t you dare insult my mother!” Ace warned.

I chuckled. Stared at him with disdain.

“And if I do, what will you do?

You’re an unwanted bastard who doesn’t even know his origin!”

“Miranda!” Everyone called out in unison.

They were angry I called Ace a bastard.

But I wasn’t done.

“Yeah!” I said. “Isn’t that what he is?

Someone just brought a grown-up boy from nowhere,

claimed he’s the Alpha’s son,

and you all foolishly believed it.”

I scoffed.

I didn’t care about their feelings.

They didn’t care about mine either.

They all treat Ace like some kind of god now.

Even the royal members who hated me

were suddenly concerned for him.

Was I jealous?

Sad for him?

No.

It was all fake.

The only reason they side with him

is because he’s the Alpha’s favorite right now.

“Miranda!”

The Alpha’s voice boomed.

Full of authority.

Everyone at the table looked frightened.

But I didn’t flinch.

I’ve known him for years.

Why should I be scared?

I stared straight into his eyes.

“Why so mad, Dad?

Did I hit a nerve?

Just because you don’t have a male child

doesn’t mean you can go around taking a child that isn’t yours.”

The Alpha coughed.

Held his chest and coughed.

Everyone stared at him in concern.

“Dad, are you okay?” Ace asked.

Acting like the perfect son.

“Don’t worry,” I mocked.

“He’s not going to die.”

“And who said he was gonna die?” Ace snapped.

“You—”

I was about to reply

When the Queen Mother cut me off.

My grandmother.

“Stop this nonsense, Miranda!”

She said.

And I stopped.

Trying to maintain the little manners I had left.

  • The Alpha's Real Heir   Epilogue

Five Years Later,The moon was full tonight. I stared at myself in the mirror and barely recognized the woman looking back. White dress. Silver Luna crown. The scar on my shoulder was covered by lace, but I could still feel it. Two years ago, a fight had broken out in Blossom Grey Pack and in the process I got hurt. Only to be rescued by Ace again. Life wasn't so peaceful after that day in the hospital, but we defeated every obstacle. And today... We are happy."Luna?" My maid knocked softly. "They’re waiting, Luna."Luna. The word still made my chest ache. Golden Blossom Pack. One pack. One Alpha couple. I took a deep breath and stepped outside. And there he was. Ace. Black suit. Golden eyes. The same jaw that used to clench when he hated me. Now it softened the second he saw me. The whole clearing went quiet. Two hundred wolves from both packs watched, but all I saw was him."You’re late," he murmured when I reached him, his voice rough. Only I could hear the tremb

Hours later. The hospital smelled like antiseptic and rain.Miranda’s hands shook as she pushed open the door to the hospital where Ace was admitted. Her father walked beside her, silent. Inside, Ace sat propped up in bed. Bandages around his ribs. Eyes tired, but sharp. And next to him, standing like a guard dog, was Alpha Brian. The room went still.Ace looked up. His gaze hit Miranda first, then Alpha Derrick. His jaw ticked. “I didn’t expect…” Ace said. He stuttered, voice low, surprise etched on his face. He stared at Miranda, different emotions running through him.His father cleared his throat. “Thanks... thanks for coming.” Miranda couldn’t speak. She just walked to the bed and took Ace’s hand. His fingers were warm. “How... are you feeling now?” she asked.Ace’s thumb brushed over her knuckles. “Wasn’t expecting you to come when my father said so. I thought he was playing pranks on me.” “I would have come earlier if only I was allowed to.” She replied. “Why did yo

Author POV Ace was still locked in the room. The Alpha had refused to let him out. He wanted Ace to reflect on himself. All through the day, Ace hadn’t eaten a single thing. With a tight jaw, he ordered the guards to summon Ace’s closest friends — Evelyn and Josh. They came the moment the order was given and were led straight into Ace’s room. The sight that greeted them made Evelyn gasp. Ace lay on the bed, pale and drained, but his eyes were stubborn. A tray of untouched medicine sat on the table beside him.“Ace!!” Evelyn rushed forward. Josh immediately pressed a hand to Ace’s forehead and his expression darkened. “He needs to be admitted. He has a high fever,” he said, his voice trembling.Kayla quickly called for t

Miranda POVI had already been discharged from the hospital and was at home in a Blossom grey pack.I wanted to go back to school, to Maple City, But Dad and Clark both refused. They gave me a new phone in which I didn’t have Kayla or Lily’s numbers. I asked for my phone and they said it was broken.I was bored. So bored.I decided to go out but then I realized I didn’t know the Blossom grey pack well enough. So I decided to take a walk.  I wore a hoodie and dressed like a normal pack member. No crown. No guards. Just me.I admired their garden. The flowers. The way the people worked on the farms and decorations. Everything looked so peaceful.I walked until the sun got too hot. Tired, I decided to rest under a big mango tree.  The breeze blew through my hair. “Oh,” I whispered to myself. “I’m enjoying this.”Not quite long,I he

Ace POV The day I arrived at Blossom Grey Pack, Alpha Derrick’s face went pale the moment he saw me. Shock,Fury. All of it flashed across his eyes at once. “Ace.” he snapped, storming toward me. “What happened?!” He thought I had hurt Miranda.      ACE POVThe more I ran, the quieter it got.  The wolf’s cry inside my head... the pull I’d been chasing for hours... it started fading.  Weaker.  Weaker.  Gone.  Panic surged through my chest like ice.  _No. No, no, no. Nothing happens to her._  My guards were behind me, shouting my name.  I didn’t stop.  I skidded to a stop at the edge of the school compound.  Smoke was pouring from the basement windows. Firefighters were dragging hoses, yelling orders.  And I couldn’t feel her.  _Miranda._ I whispered it, like if I said her name loud enough the bond would answer.  Silence.  My worst fear.  I shifted back from my Wolf form, and my guards immediately threw me clothes. I pulled them on without looking.I headed toward where the firefighters were.“Hey! Kid! Yo
