Lorien

I couldn’t look at Kieren.

The moment that witch took Cassius into the room, something inside me caved in. My gaze dropped to the floor, fixed on the uneven grooves in the wooden planks, and I forced myself not to blink. If I blinked, the tears would fall, and I couldn’t let them—not in front of Kieren.

My throat burned. My fingers trembled where they rested on my knees. I felt like I was going to cry, but I swallowed it down like poison.

All my life, I’d wanted Cassius to see me. To see me the way a mate should. Not as some mistake. Not as the shameful secret he had to pretend didn’t exist. But now, even if a part of me still longed for him, I couldn’t let myself be a doormat. I’d done enough begging to last a lifetime.

Kieren was the first to break the silence.

“Well,” he said, stretching the word too far like it was some kind of lifeline, “at least no one’s thrown a chair yet.”

A weak laugh left me—more of a breath than anything—and I shook my head, still not meeting his eye

  • The Alpha's Rejected Omega   The Truth Beneath It All

Cassius “You can’t seriously believe him,” Julian said sharply. I glanced over at him, frowning lightly. The sting of his words wasn’t new, but tonight, it was grating more than usual. “What reason would he have to lie?” I asked. Julian scoffed, stepping further into the room like he had something to prove. “Cassius, come on. You know it doesn’t make sense. He’s a man. Biologically, it’s not possible. He couldn’t have carried your children.” My frown deepened. “Are you hearing yourself?” I muttered. “Since when do you speak like this?” Julian’s lips twitched. “I’m just being realistic. You think you’re the father based on what—some emotional outburst? A pair of matching eyes?” “I know I am,” I snapped. “And I don’t speak out of turn when it comes to this, Julian. I’m telling you, it’s the truth.” He didn’t respond right away. He just stood there, jaw clenched, searching for some angle I wouldn’t knock down. Then he tried a different tactic. I saw the shift in his eyes. “You

  • The Alpha's Rejected Omega   A Chain I Can't Break

CassiusLorien finally slipped from my grasp. And gods, I hated the cold that followed.I watched him pull away, brushing his palm against the fabric of his pants like my touch was something he needed to rid himself of. My hand twitched with the urge to grab him again. Hold him. Make him stay. But I didn’t. I couldn’t.The frown pulled at my face before I could stop it. My chest was tight, like some invisible cord was cinching around my lungs. I didn’t want him to go. Not like this. Not again. There had to be a way. There had to be a way to make him see. To bind him to me, to make sure he couldn’t walk out of my life without looking back.Because this—this slow pulling away—felt worse than rejection. It felt like being buried alive. Why was he acting like this? Like I was a stranger? Like the years we’d shared, the pain, the bond—weighed nothing to him?“I don’t understand,” I muttered, watching him move stiffly around the room, refusing to meet my eyes. “You’re acting like I’m some k

  • The Alpha's Rejected Omega   Wounds That Never Closed

Lorien He looked broken. There was no other word to describe it. Cassius lay there in a heap, half-naked and unconscious, his body riddled with angry red welts and bruises. Blood crusted down the side of his ribs, dried into the torn edges of his pants. His breathing was shallow, erratic. For a second, I didn’t think—I just ran. “Cassius—” I dropped to my knees beside him, hands trembling as I reached out. My fingers hovered above his chest before I finally touched him. He was warm—too warm—and I felt the soft, fluttering beat of his heart under my palm. Relief and panic collided in my chest. My breath caught. My vision blurred. I slid my arms beneath him and gently cradled his head onto my lap, brushing blood-matted strands of hair from his temple. My thigh was already damp with sweat and grime, but I didn’t care. His weight in my lap, so heavy and vulnerable, made it feel like something inside me was splitting open. Like I was bleeding through wounds I couldn’t even see. I fe

  • The Alpha's Rejected Omega   Screwed

CassiusI hated him.Not Lorien—Moon, never Lorien.Kieren.That smug bastard sitting on Lorien’s couch like he belonged there. Like he had some right to be here. Like I hadn’t just watched Lorien press his lips to his cheek while standing in front of me, daring me not to rip the guy’s throat out.I stood there in silence, fists clenched at my sides, the muscles in my jaw ticking so hard I thought they might snap. He’d never kissed him on the lips. That was the only thing keeping me from losing it entirely. That slight mercy. That faint shred of decency in this chaos that let me pretend maybe… just maybe, I still had a chance. That I hadn’t already lost everything. But then she moved. The witch. She closed the book like she’d just been waiting for the dramatic tension to reach its peak, and now she was ready for her entrance. Her fingers brushed the air with theatrical grace as she stood up, lips curved in a way that made my skin crawl.“Such delightful chaos,” she purred, her voice l

  • The Alpha's Rejected Omega   Uninvited Guests

LorienI didn’t expect him to come.Cassius.He showed up at the hospital just before sunset, standing in the doorway like a shadow from a past life I’d tried to bury deep.Caius had been fussing in his bed, and Lucian was playing with the hem of my shirt, but the second they saw him, everything stilled. He didn’t say anything at first. Just walked in and picked Caius up like he belonged in his arms.“Seriously?” I asked, crossing my arms. “You don’t care what people will think?”He looked at me, calm—too calm. “Don’t ruin it.”Just like that. No fire. No challenge. No anger. Just… peace.I glanced at Caius, who had settled into his father’s hold with a softness that nearly broke me. His little lips curled into a content smile, eyes half-lidded, and my heart clenched so tightly I had to look away.“Fine,” I muttered. “Let’s go.”The walk home was oddly quiet. The streets weren’t empty. In fact, people were watching—onlookers whispering behind barely-concealed hands, pretending they we
