CHAPTER 18: Three Against One

I felt an unexplainable fear while seeing them standing there, and I couldn’t help but feel guilty for involving this stranger in the mess I put myself into.

I doubted that he could defeat these three big men in front of us, and when I briefly looked at him, I noticed that he was taller than them, probably around six feet and two inches, but the other three men were sturdier and more menacing than he was.

“What can I do for you guys?” he asked calmly as if he had no clue of the danger these three men were in.

“For starters, you can hand that pretty lady over to us; you see, she’s my girlfriend, and we had a bit of quarreling, and she ran away,” the blue-eyed man shamelessly claimed.

As much as I didn’t want to get him involved anymore, I needed to tell him the truth, and it’s up to him whether he would act like a hero and try to protect and still end up hurt, or he could just walk away, leaving me to my own demise.
