It was time. I pulled myself to a sitting position. It was still dark outside, but it wouldn't be for long. I glanced to my side at the emptiness of the bed. Nola was gone. I stared at the blank paper, not being able to fathom a thing. There was no single word message on it anymore. It looked like not even a scratch from a pen graced it ever.
